Name my business, Help me think of a name for a fitness based business?
If I was to start a fitness, nutrition and personal training business, what would be a good unique name for it?
You need to take your target audience into consideration. Some names will appeal more to women, and some to men. Some names (eg Boot Camp) will suggest you offer a tough routine, whilst other names (eg Stretch and Tone) will appeal to older, or less fit people.
The article below covers exactly this topic.

Information on how to start a mma gym and fitness center.?
I have been trained in Jiu jitsu, wrestling, Tae Kwon Do -Chung Do Kwan, Karate and Muay Thai. I am an amatuer mma fighter and have trained 2 other amatuer mma fighters . I would like to start training others in the sport I love and develop fighters through their career. any information on license, business plan outlines….etc would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who answers.
The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you’re interested in.
I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.
Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you’ll inevitably have as well as many you haven’t anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.
Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:
* Gym Biz: Starting and Running Your Own Gym for Profit by Lou Ravelle
* Small Club Start-up: A Personal Trainer’s Guide by Ron Fay
* The Business of Fitness: Understanding the Financial Side of Owning a Fitness Business by Thomas Plummer
* Making Money in the Fitness Business by Thomas Plummer
I also posted links to some free articles in the source box.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Does anyone know any full body workouts/circuits/routines using a heavybag?
I recently got a heavybag to get on top of my fitness at home, but I keep running out of ideas after 10mins and i want to be doing 45-60min!!!
I’ve done boxercise before and it was hardcore. I liked combining burpees etc with hook and jab pads so I guess that can be adapted to bag work. I’ve been sifting through youtube and nothing really caught my eye.
I’m not really training towards a sport at the moment, but I do want to use legs in workouts to keep things even, have bad chicken legs!
Anyone heard of a routine that fits the bill? Even if it finishes on timed rounds I’d love to hear about it.
P.S. Can I train for 45-60mins 6 days a week or is that too much? I’ve been fit before so I know how to push myself and when to call it a day.
Thanks in advance!
Any info on any part appreciated

Im a sport lover , since im child till now im 20yrs old ,

the course are :
Sports Coaching Foundation Degree.
Sport and Fitness Management Foundation Degree
(Health and Physical Activity Foundation Degree)
Fitness Instructing Certificate Level 2 (YMCA)
Circuit Training Award Level 2 (YMCA)
Access to HE Diploma (Physical Activity and Sports Leadership)
please help .
First of all, I think the decision to pursue a sports degree is wonderful :) (i guess I’m a little bias because that’s what i took, hehe)
Check what subjects you will be taking in each course maybe that will help narrow your choices. It will all depend on your interest because that interest and passion will sustain you through your studies :)
Looking at your choices, I would choose the Sports Coaching Foundation degree but my choice would also depend if the course will offer subjects like bio mechanics, physiology, anatomy, sports psychology and philosophy, strength and conditioning..etc. So it all boils down to your interest and what you will be learning
Enjoy learning! You’ll definitely have fun :)

Some exercise ideas for fitness and weight loss?
So Ive just finished exams and stopped running for a couple months on monday i hv my last exam and since ive gained a bit of weight and not as fit as i use to be (in cross country season) running 4km in under 17mins and was 2nd in my school – but i havnt ran for 2months so im nowhere near as fit anymore. So basically i have 2 days from the end of my exams to going to school camp and in those 2 days im going to basically exercise the whole day. My friend is going to train me and i was wondering if anyone had some good ideas so far we have this plan
1 hour run in the morning
short food break
1 hour at the park doing some sprinting (but usually we spend so much time proscartnating we only get in about 4x300m sprints.
short break
interval training at the playground followed by skipping, star jumps and other childrens fitness games.
short break
swimming
we need alot more as we want to fill in the whole day.
i am 17
I’m 18, this is my workout. I do it 3-4 times per week and I have seen some real results.
3sets of 8 pull-ups (vary grip depending on what muscle groups you want to work. Narrow for bicep, wide for chest and shoulder)
3sets of 5-10 bicep curls @ 30lbs
3 sets of 20 push ups
Stomach exercises:
40 crunches
40 side crunches to the left
40 side crunches to the right
40 leg lifts
40 flutter kicks http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-do-the-flutter-kick-exercise-251328/
Good luck to you
