detox diet ingredients
How do you start the detox/ water diet?

I’ve been trying to find out more about the detox diet, but I can’t seem to find enough about it online.

Is anybody on this diet?

Does it really work? I heard that you can lose ALOT of weight in such a really short time! Is that good for your body, considering that you are on a diet?

How do you exactly go about doing this diet? I heard that the diet ranges anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. So what do you have to do and/or take while on the diet?

How much water am i supposed to drink each day?(not including the water in the mixture)

Can you eat lemons?

Is Cayenne pepper/ginger an essential ingredient or is this just to taste, can you have it without?
I’m not saying that I’m going to give the diet a try. I just want to know more about it before seeing my doctor and/or actually starting the diet.

You don’t! Going on any extreme diet like the following can be damaging to your body, just because Hollywood stars do it, it does not mean it is safe!

You have to get that “diet” image out of your head. You need to rather think in terms of “healthy eating”, and you need to include resistance training / cardio. There is no easy way out. People are always seeking for the magic pill / forumla that will help them lose the weight but this will lead to failure. If you are planning to lose muscle/water, then I suggest you go on the diet (well not really!), but what I am saying is if you don’t care about your health, then by all means go ahead. But if you do, then don’t go on it.

I have attached the following link, which explains how you should lose the fat the right way, though it is basic article, it tells nearly everything you should know. Remember anyone can lose a heap of weight in a short period of time, but you have to ask yourself “How much of it was fat?”. A majority of the time, the answer would probably be “nearly none”.

ABERDEEN ONLY – Fitness classes?

Hi people!
Am often off during the day and would like to take up a fitness class to make me exercise! Am not a member of a gym. The whole idea scares me a bit though, that they might be full of super-fit skinny people and i will struggle to keep up! Can anyone recommend a nice beginners-level one with a nice instructor, nothing too intimidating? Any help appreciated!

I don’t know which state you are in and Aberdeen is a often named city. However I can assure you that you find all kinds and sizes of people in a gym. Yes there are the people who get on the treadmill next to you and run 5 miles in the same time you walk one, but you are only testing against yourself.
Talk with some different gyms, and be careful about signing contracts. Most will allow a one time guest pass. Also check with the city recreation department as they may have exercise, yoga and other fitness classes for reasonable fees and more suited to your needs. :-) ma

exercise class formats
Would you enjoy a freestyle dance session more than a structured dance/exercise class?

I LOVE to dance and I really enjoy dancing in a night club atmosphere to upbeat, popular music. The only problem is…I’m female, married and not of the “younger set” any longer (mid 40′s). I’ve tried Zumba, Jazzercise and various aerobics classes…but, none of them give me the exhileration of getting out on a dance floor and just dancing my heart out.

So, my question for you is…are there other attached (or single), mature women out there who would enjoy dancing in a night club atmosphere but without the “stigma” of hanging out in a pick-up spot or being taken for a bar fly? Would you enjoy getting together with other young-spirited women to dance to fantastic music in a freestyle format as a form of weekly exercise? Thoughts?

detox diet week
how well does a detox diet work for someone trying to lose weight fast?

i don’t weigh to much right now. im 5′ 3″ and i weigh 128, i want to start a diet so im thin for summer. but knowing myself, i wont be determined unless i see results FAST. so i want to go on this detox for my start. apparently you can loose like 10 lbs within the first week, but i wanted to know if i could loose that much even though i don’t weigh a lot in the first place.

your filtering organs work perfectly fine when it comes to detoxing the body… “detox diets” are bs.

eat meat, fish, fruits and vegetables and stay away from grains, dairy and sugar. your body will start to go into ketosis and burn fat

Gym class or nutrition programs? Which would be more beneficial?

IN our school the problem of Obesity is really out there – 1/3 kids are significantly overweight. Our gym teacher says that having gym makes us more “healthier” than weekly nutrition programs – however, when considered – gym class in only about 30 minutes of light to moderate exercise once a week”. But when kids walk out of gym, they are downing a bag of flaming hot cheetos before they can get to the staircase .

So what do you think would help more – Gym class or a Nutrition Program?

If you are fat and want to get thin, you will do whatever it takes. Actually, it is a combination of proper diet and exercise that help us to have a nice trim, healthy body. you have to take whatever you do seriously. You don’t have to limit your physical activity to gym class once a week, you can ride a bike, no matter what other people think of riding a bike. I am an old grandmother of eight and I ride my bike, or you can walk briskly to school, to the store on the boardwalk, with your friends jog join a gym, play hockey.

your gym teacher doesn’t need to knock learning about proper nutrition either, that is not nice. She should be working with the health teacher to develop strategies how to get the kids to slim down. We were thin as rails, lean and strong when we were girls. Fat was definitely out. If you are overweight in high school or middle school forget it. You’ll probably weigh 300 by the time you are 30

pregnancy exercise classes
Is it safe to exercise during pregnancy _ arobics and step classes?

If you are used to doing aerobis and step classes then it should be ok. You shouldnt take them up now whilst you are pregnant if you are not used to it!!!

You may find though, further into your pregnancy, certain moves you may not be able to perform due to the size of your bump – but you should be able to do the classes at your own pace. Cardio exercise is very good for pregnancy, it helps deliver oxygen to both mother and child so it will help with the babies development.

detox diet eating plan
Is this detox diet good?

I’ve been on a healthy eating plan for a few months and this is my final month so im going on a detox diet. Is this healthy for my detox diet plan:
- One extra light cream cheese and cracker for breakfast.
-apple
-One extra light cream cheese and cracker for lunch
-pear
- Tuna and salad
-apple

It looks pretty skimpy to me. You seem to have the principals right, but you really ought to have a bit more. I mean, I don’t know the size of the cracker, but I’m guessing it’s not huge …
I would be OK for a week or so, but for a whole month you’ll find yourself really lacking energy and nutrients. If you follow the link below, you’ll find a list of other foods that will help to give you energy, and keep you vital organs healthy, but will also be in tune with your detox.
Another note: I’d vary the fruit more, and that way your body will be getting more variety of vitamins.

i really need to go on a detox diet as ive been eatin so much processed junk food lately!can anyone recommend a really good one?????i goin on holiday next month so any diet tips wud b much appreicated!!i 5’3 an near 9 an half stone i willin to try anytin at dis stage !!!!!!i very determined an no der no miracle cure r fix!!!!!!!!!

oatmeal first thing in the morning, instant is ok but the non instant is better…. It sucks up all the crap from your body LOL

yogurt for snacks, the cultures are really good for you…. light is ok…….. I like the yoplait light kind :)

………… green tea is great…. with honey is better for you!

mmmmmmmmmmmm……. try to work out for like 30 mina day I use an elliptical and free weights((7 lb wts))

dont know how much a stone is but I lost 85 lb from 228 lb to 142 lb((in 2 years)) by doing this ((adding oatmeal yogurt and green tea to my normal non perfect diet and working out on elliptical and wts))

………of course try to eat protein and veggies…… they say apple cider vinegar helps you lose weight so I like that with turnip greens yummm southern US thing

What is the song that is played at the beginning of Ottawa Senators games(2008-09 Season)?

I was wondering if anyone knows what the song played just before the sens enter the ice (the 2008-09 season). On the screen you can see the Sens doing some fitness things in “black & white” as the spotlights are moving around the arena. Then while the song gets faster and the bass gets louder, it shows them during training camp on the ice. I wanted to know if anyone knows what song this is. Thanks.
