I would suggest trying cleansing your body. I found cleansing to be the best weight loss program. I have ever tried. I lost 12 pounds in a week and 29 pounds in a month. Detox diet for people with hypoglycemic tendencies?
I am looking for a short-term detox diet or modified juice fast that will be safe for me, as I suffer from low blood sugar.
If anyone has had any experience and can recommend a good simple plan, I would greatly appreciate it!
Just to clarify, I am not interested in losing weight necessarily, but instead want to clear my body of excess toxins, build-up, etc, giving my digestive system a break and a clean start.
There is no such thing as a “detox” diet. The idea that you can rid yourself of toxins by dieting is a fad, not a scientific fact.
So beginning June 14th I will be working out once in the morning (before breakfast) and once in the evening (5:00).
I’m hoping to do that everyday until around September 8th. (That’s about 88 days total)
For the morning workouts, it would probably be for an hour doing 30 min. on the elliptical, and doing sit ups, also maybe the stair master for 15 min.
(A total of 60 min. in the gym)
For the afternoon I would be taking one 60 min. spinning (cycling) class. If I don’t get to the class, then i’ll do my morning workout again.(60 min.)
(They are vigorous classes)
I’m trying to lose 20-25 lbs.
Do you think it’s possible to lose that weight by doing those exercises in the time frame I said?
How long do you think it will take to lose the weight?

I want to become a personal trainer, what is the fastest and easiest way?
what i know so far, is that you need to be CPR certified, or have a BA in physical fitness science. Since I only want to become a personal trainer as a supplement to pay for my schooling (i’m a psych major). I dont want to take more classes than i have to. Please can someone tell me what/ how/ and where I would need to complete training in order to become a personal trainer. Thank you.
go through the bcrpa, some have the first 2 classes put together as one, so u can finish faster. Im not sure where u live but my local college has them. u have to do 3 classes and 2 exams.
Fitness Training Basics : How to Build Leg Strength
Look everyone, this is wat i’ve been doin, and today is my 4th day. I try to sleep alot,i try to at least wake up at 11. i eat Breakfast: 1 glass of skim milk with one fruit. then at 2 or 3 i eat like a mango and an apple which an apples fills u up and its really good, then. since am already full, its easier for me to wait 4 hours and eat at 6 which is the last meal dinner: a small salad with a lil but of salt n vinegar with eggwhites w onions(i love onions). or just tuna (the one in water) and then, this is the hard part at night. but for dat i been takin some pills called xadrine dat it doesnt make me hungry at all, which has been workin for me really great. and it really works. This is kinda like a detox diet…but its easy to do with those people..and sleeping alot, so i wont be hungry during the day….well i guess this for some of us who are stuck at home durin the summer…or if u work u can just eat a fruit every 3 hours. AND NO IS NOOOOT STARVING.
But why are you doing all this? Are you trying to lose weight? If that’s your goal, how are you going to handle it when you stop taking pills and sleeping 12 hours a day?
There’s nothing in there about exercise, and that’s a really important item if you are trying to lose weight or if you are trying to stay healthy.
You’d be better off to get on a more reasonable diet, add some exercise, scrap the pills and live a more normal life.
What gluten can you eat on the Carol Vorderman detox diet?
I am trying the Carol Vorderman 28 day detox after a friend recommended it to me. I know the basics of the rules; no meat, no fish, no dairy, no eggs, no caffeine, no alcohol, no wheat.
Now; I know that rice is allowed, so is it just wheat that I have to cut out or other glutens too (i.e. rye and barley) or more??
I’m also a bit confused about sugars. I take it unrefined natural sugar and honey are ok, but processed sugars etc are not? Is that right?
I’ve been on it for a week now and it’s going pretty well, but due to my confucion over what gluten is allowed, I’m running out of meal ideas!

I’m not familiar with the Carol Verderman diet, but I would suggest cutting it out anyway. Many many people are intolerant of gluten and I think everyone should cut it out at least once in their life to see if they are one of them. I personally think people should cut out one food at a time to see which foods they react to and which ones they don’t. Although if you are cutting out all that, you should feel different no matter what you are intolerant to! And you should probably lose quite a bit of weight too! And I would assume that she would want the sugars to be unrefined if you’re cutting out all that. You should look in the gluten free section of the grocery store. Many people with gluten issues also have other allergies so you will find bread that is made with rice and tapioca and that doesn’t have any eggs or dairy in it. Vegetable stir fry is a great option that excludes those foods (although watch out for the soy sauce-most contain wheat).
Have you tried looking at raw food websites? They will have lots of recipes that follow those guidelines. Most raw foodists don’t eat any of those foods. You will find recipes for raw “ice creams” and cookies that are pretty good. Have you looked into green smoothies? It’s a great way to get your nutrients and reduce your food cravings. They also taste really good too. My favorite is raw spinach with 1 apple, a handful of berries or another piece of fruit, a cup of water and some ice. It tastes like fruit and you can’t taste the spinach. It’s also a very good laxative. Also, are you eating oats? Oats have gluten in them just through cross contamination and they naturally contain a chemical similar to gluten in terms of how it affects your body. If you don’t decide to cut it out of your diet now, I still suggest cutting it out after you finish the detox. Many people find that it’s very healing to eat a gluten free diet.
It says on the page that you can eat rye or oat cakes instead of bread. Both contain gluten, so I would imagine that she allows gluten on her detox. I do suggest doing without it though. :-)

What it the benefit of drinkging water with lemon juice in a detox diet? Thanks.?
I was told about a Bioenergetic diet of which the above is a part. If you have personal experience with this diet, as well, I would appreciate hearing about it.
Drinking water with lemon juice in it (especially first thing in the morning) creates a natural cleanse for your liver. That is why most detox programs will suggest it. I actually did a detox with lemon water and cheyanne (1/4-1/2 tsp. per gallon of water w/ about 7-8 tbs. lemon juice) and it was very cleansing. For the full effect of a detox it is helpful to do colon cleansing products as well, and then the obvious things: avoid fried foods, caffine, sugar, white flour and other highly processed foods. Eat lots of raw foods, drink tons of water, get plenty of sleep and excersize.

Preferably, looking for something that elderly people can do. It’s for a class, and I’m stuck…no ideas.
Lift legs to side, almost like ballet steps obviously not as high or strenuous using the pole for balance. Also if its an umberella try holding with both hands and lifting straight up above head for 10 as it can be a mini weight for them.

has anyone tried the fruit flush diet ………. its like a detox thing which also has a side effect of losing weight ….. its only for 3 days and practically on the 1st day you do protein shakes every 2 hours and then a huge salad, 2nd and 3rd day u eat 100 calorie portions of fruit every 2 hours and then a huge salad for supper ………… you can lose 9lbs in the 3 days and around half of that is actual fat and you dont exercise
im planning to do this …. i love fruits and vegetables and im also a vegetarian and i think that the only cracvings that i will get will be for dairy or bread but all in all it seems good so and im still going to exercise as well tho
so do you guys think that itz any good i want it to jumpstart my weight loss of at the most 30 pounds

What kind of “exercise class” to take for skinny guys to put on some muscle?
I haven’t lifted in a couple years and I’m sick of being skinny. I’m afraid to walk into the workout room because I totally am unsure what to do. So what I’m ask is, what kind of “exercise class” should I take to kick my ass and kick start my workout routine?
Try getting a personal trainer. Most of them know what they are talking about, just make sure they are certified by a legitimate company such as A.C.E. Even if you can only afford a few sessions with them, they will at least give you a direction and an idea about nutrition and what to do in the gym.
Are you allowed to excerise on the “Lemon Detox Diet”?
I am going to start the Lemon Detox Diet next week and I was wondering if there is anyone who has tried it and if so were you allowed to exercise? I’m not too sure as the diet does not involve eating any solid foods and I am worried I will have no energy.

It’s called The master cleanse, it’s not a plan that you should be doing. It’s very dangerous. That being said, if you do choose to do it, take it easy and don’t exercise, you will run out of energy quickly.
