mix in 8 oz of hot or cold water (prefer lukewarm)
Drink at least 6 mixed glasses a day
for about 10 days?
Okay am i missing something?
I usually take about 1/2 cup of yogurt a day to help me take this vegetal silica vitamin (2 times a day)
and i usually take (2) 1 cup of water 2tsp acv and 1tsp honey
Should i NOT take those things while doing the lemon detox? Should i NOT eat ANYTHING!?
Can I chew gum?
This sounds like a HUGE challenge to me.
The detox you are talking about – lemon, maple syrup, cayenne and water – can be done two ways:
First way – you COULD survive on only that drink. Your body would be completely rid of toxins BUT I have a hard time believeing it can be good for you in the end. You end up feeling worse… extremely worse… before feeling better and ‘detoxed’. The reason it sounds ridiculous and challenging is because it IS!
Second way – my boyfriend started this detox last week and what he does is mix one of these lemon/syrup/cayenne drinks in the morning, chugs it down and had a large helping of fruit. He then eats a healthy lunch and dinner. This way your body is not only getting the detox elements of the lemon/syrup/cayenne but also the nutrients of EATING FOOD! Within three days of doing this his skin was completely clear, he stopped drinking coffee and had tons of energy. ** I reccomend this way!!
Keep eating yogurt – it’s a great additon to anyone’s diet because of the bacteria.
How would you become a certified aerobic instructor in the state of KS?
I am a stay at home mother wanting to get out and exercise and make a little cash. I have some background in health classes, but would love to start an aerobic class, but would feel better asking people to pay if I was certified or had some extra training. Has anyone ever did the online classes?
There are several organizations that provide fitness certifications. One of the most popular is ACE (American Council on Exercise) and a good one for an Aerobic Instructor Certification is AFAA. Your local YMCA might also provide certifications, but you probably will have to teach at the Y if you have one. There are organizations that offer certifications online, but if you are going to actually instruct people, I highly recommend taking a course you actually have to attend and take a practical exam. You also will need to be certified in CPR to teach aerobics. Check with the American Heart Association classes locally.

Just glancing around at various answers but YA is being stupid on me for some reason.
I’m reading that some people have had to jog/do workouts (situps etc) mind me asking what this is for?
Like how is running & working out part of a black belt test, as far as i’m aware a black belt is a student trained in techniques that can perform them & has an understanding of what he/she is doing on each technique + the history of the art NOT fitness but it seems to be a regular occurence?
Fitness is a requirement, but I do find it hard to believe that part of the test would be a fitness routine such as running and push-ups. This is really something that should be noticed on a daily basis when it comes to practice. The person would be winded or flushed and unable to keep up with the class routines if they were out of shape. On top of that, I do not consider push-ups and running to be a part of a karate syllabus. There are many other things that must be known and the student must be able to execute techniques properly in the proper circumstance. After all, we are learning a martial art, not jazzersize! If the martial art is not physically draining enough, why put in a fitness routine and add it to the syllabus?
My testing consisted of the full kata range; short form range; weapons range; interpretation at black belt level for each kata, spontaneously and from every angle of attack, multiple attackers included; concept emphasis for each kata; and historical origin; history of the system itself; bunkai; weapons spar with multiple weapons and attackers, including barehanded against weapons; streetwise self defense awareness and articulation; full spar of every person in the dojo including multiple attackers; and personal view on my purpose of study including when to use it.
Let me tell you, if you need to do a fitness routine after doing a full range of kata, all of the interpretations and sparring too… then something’s not being done right. My several hour testing was non-stop physical action on my part until the very end where I had to think and remember lineage, and history, concepts and meaning while completely exhausted. (I was in the military at the time and just graduated high school from spending four years in their athletics program. I held fitness records at several of the military bases and this testing still wore me out.)

well i’m 14 and my class has to do this exercise in front of the class for 10 minutes. we need to tell the class what the exercise is called and what part of your body it helps. only problem is i don’t want to embarrass myself in front of my classmate because i dont know what i’m doing so if anybody could just….
1. tell me the type of exercise to do and how many of them
2. tell me what part of you body it works
3. how to do the exercise
thank you sooo much and please please help me! it needs to be 10 minutes! please help me please!
They also cannot be just one exercise for the whole 10 minutes i have 2 do different ones every couple of minutes of or so..this is also not to lose weight this is just a project for class i am haveing trouble with
Just do wall squats. Lean up against the wall and squat down into a seated position so you lower back is up against the wall and your knees form right angles. It is like you are sitting in a chair with no chair there. This works the legs like crazy and you probably won”t be able to do it for ten minutes straight through without practice. Totally simple and effective and it hurts a lot after 30 seconds or so.
Still civi – currently working towards a degree in Health and Fitness and wanting to work as a PTI in the AUS Army – realise i have to work as medic first however what is involved in the training of a PTI and how should I prepare for such training?
Well, you’ve got your degree in Health and Fitness in the works, which will be a great bargaining chip for your application and of definite use in the field. They will, however, put you through an 18 week course which can train a soldier from any Corps to be a PTI without any prior relevant experience or accreditation.
You don’t need to work as a Medic first – you can transfer from any Corps in the Army, any Rank – although most tend to be Corporals from one of the five I. But besides being shining examples of individumain Combat Arms (Infantry, Artillery, Engineers, Armour).
They require that you:
- Are IET qualified in another Corps or trade
- Pass a Psych test
- “successfully complete the Combat Fitness Leaders Course and obtain a recommendation from the course manager to be nominated for the ADF PTI Initial Trade Training Course, or a letter of recommendation from a Warrant Officer PTI after 12 months of supervision as a Combat Fitness Leader” (I have little idea of what this means)
- Be in the Australian Regular Army (ie, no chockos like myself)
- Complete the Sub 1 Corporal Course (You can hypothetically be a Private, but this’d be between the time you do the course and are promoted)
PTIs strike me as being absolute physical monsters – typically built up, muscular and athletic. There are a few female PTIs, too. Their task is to lead others in PT, so they know all the stretches, exercises, events and team sports any group of soldiers could do.

Who knows about the Detox Diet. What exactly are you supposed to put in the liquid and is it for 15 days? and how much of the foods/liquids are you supposed to put in? I know your not allowed to eat anything and it flushes out everything bad in your system.
are you talkiing about the master cleanser? my roommate did that and this is what she used
60 oz spring water per day (spread over 6 10 oz glasses)
12 tablespoons Organic Grade B Maple Syrup (or 2 tbsp. per glass)
12 tablespoons freshly squeezed organic lemon juice (or 2 tbsp. per glass)
a little over half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper (or 1/10 tsp. per glass) or to taste
The only other foods consumed is a laxative tea (“Smooth Move”) twice a day, and a saline (sea salt) wash. The laxative may be required due to the lack of fiber in the diet that may lead to constipation

you have a special maple syrup mixed with lemon juice – has anyone tried it successfully please – and how did you get on?
have you tried it bugsy?
It’s rubbish.
You get holistic diarrhoea and end up dehydrated, feeling limp and with your electrolytes upset.
The body is self detoxing, the colon is self detoxing.
You have lungs, skin, kidneys and liver doing the job. Why upset them – and upset the delicate flora in your gut as well.
i have been recently hearing about this “master cleanse” or lemonade diet”. apparantly it helps you lose weight and detox yourself. i was wondering if it works. does anybody have any experiences or advice. are there any snacks you can eat without interferring with your diet?
any information will help
thank you
xxxxxx
also anyway it helps lose weight rather than gain weight as i previously read on a website
I’ve done the master cleanse. You are going to be tired during your cleanse, you won’t have the energy to run. I went to the gym one time during my cleanse and I was so sore for days afterwards. There is nothing in your body to help you rebuild your muscles and you PAY for it. Don’t exercise on your fast. Maybe walk on the treadmill, that’s it.
The point of the cleanse is just that, to cleanse. Putting creatine and cellmass in your body will ruin the effects of the cleanse and it may throw your system out of whack. Don’t put anything in your body except the lemonade.
You really shouldn’t chew gum, as it has chemicals in it and the point of the cleanse is to get all that junk out of your body. But you may be craving some kind of taste in your mouth, so I say go for it. I did.
I felt great after my cleanse and I lost a lot of weight too (I gained it all back though). Unless you are going to do it properly, ie. drinking the lemonade and ONLY the lemonade, don’t do it because you will not reap any benefits from it otherwise. And as far as the beer goes, it’ll make you gain weight like crazy. Your metabolism will be so low during your fast that you won’t burn those beers off at all, they’ll go straight to your belly.

[mage lang="" source="flickr"]detox diet oprah[/mage] Question about detox diets and Dr Oz from Oprah?
I know that Dr Oz says that detox liquid diets have not proven anythign and he doesn’t think they work but I also know that he said they can be a good way to re-introduce healthier foods into your diet without craving sweets and things you shouldn’t be having. I know he says this is not a good tool for weight loss. Please read and understand that I am saying I am not interested in a detox diet for the purposes of weight loss or detoxing. I am ONLY interested in trying it for only a few days for the pusposes of halting my eating of sweets and things I shouldn’t be eating and re-introducing as Dr OZ says good things like fruits vegetables and whole grains. Nothing else is working and I don’t want other options. I want to know if anyone knows wher eI can read more about this or has opinions or suggestions
Well I think that Or Oz just glamorizes health and tries to make things sound more clear cut than they are.
Detox diets do work – BUT an only liquid detox diet can be harmful and will also make you GAIN weight as soon as you reintroduce food to your body.
I did a detox diet. I pulled bits and pieces from other diets and wrote down my own plan. It worked. I did it for a week and it was great- I lost 8 pounds and I feel a million times better in mind and body and health than ever.
I cut out ALL: animal products, wheat, sugar, gluten, additives, candy, high fat foods, junk- all that.
I ate/drank ONLY: water, pure 100% fruit juice, fruits, veggies, beans, pure tea- that’s pretty much all!
After that, I cut out ALL soda and junk like that.
You might want to try something like that.

I have been doing an abs group exercise at the gym, my question is , how often should I attend? Everyday? Every other day?
The class is about thirty minutes long.
I walk on the treadmill for an hour 5 days a week and soon will incorporate weight training.
Does this sound fair for a person looking to define muscle and gain endurance?
Abs are the one muscle group that doesn’t need as much recovery time. Its not my area of expertise, but I do know that you can work on your abs daily in pretty long sets without having to worry about too little recovery time. Just be sure to vary the workout.
