Detox Diet Recipes-Do Not Complicate Your Life

No matter what diet you choose, and for whatever reason, and important part of a new health regimen should be to detoxify your body of waste and chemicals.

Raw Food Detox Diet

Detox, or detoxification of the body is a common practice many people use in order to rid the body of toxic substances or lose some weight quickly. There are many different ways and many different diets to detox the body. Some of these are the dieuretic diet, the fat flush diet, an all liquid diet, liver cleansing diet and the raw food diet. Certain detox diets may be better for certain people, so it is important to look at each and decide which one would fit your day to day lifestyle the best. The detox diet that I would like to talk about here is the raw food detox diet, also sometimes called foodism. This detox diet is generally made up of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, dried fruits, herbs and spices that are all eaten raw.

The first thing you will want to do is prepare for the detox. The safest way to do so is to slowly remove the foods that are not allowed during the detox from your day to day diet for a week before you start the full on detox. This means that the first day of preparation you will replace one or two things that you regularly eat during the day with something that is a fruit, vegetable or other food allowed by the detox. By the seventh day, you will have replaced pretty much everything in your regular diet with someone that is allowed in the detox diet. The other thing that you will need to do to prepare is create a menu plan for your detox diet. You will want to make your menu as appetizing as possible for yourself, but don’t expect it to be as good as friend chicken or extra cheesy lasagna. With a little creativity and searching for recipes you can however find some very tasty meals.

Once you have created your menu plan, create a grocery list and go shopping the day before you start the detox. You are now ready to begin your raw food detox diet.

Generally the first couple days of any detox are the hardest days, so it is important to keep any temptations out of sight and as out of mind as possible. It may take a lot of will power but you will find as you are on the detox for longer that it will become easier, and believe me, when you start seeing those results of how much better you feel or how much weight you have lost, you will want to keep the detox going strong.

With the raw food diet it may be a little costly to purchase all of the fruits and vegetables that you will need, but it is important not to skimp or cheat. Some great meals you can make are fresh fruit salads, mixed salads with other various vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, parsley and other dressings, raw mixed vegetable soup, avocado and even raspberry and banana sorbet. You should be able to find these special raw diet recipes as well as many others with just a little searching online. The important thing with a raw food detox diet is that you make a plan and stick with it.

Reasons To Eat Raw Food

Raw food may sound kind of icky and not so appetizing at first. However, perhaps you are investigating this sort of diet because of health issues, or because you need to lose some excess weight. Maybe you are just curious about eating healthier, or want to feel look healthier.

So, now that you know what a raw food diet is all about, you need to decide, is it right for you? Well you do not need to incorporate raw food 100% of the time. You can just eat more fruits and vegetables and no processed foods. Try drinking fruit juices until lunch time and then eating a healthy veggie sandwich. For dinner, eat some blanched vegetables with a cooked meal with no meats. When you gradually detoxify your body, you will see dramatic results. First, you will go through the detoxify process, where you will feel tired, have headaches, skin eruptions, etc. Once you are over this tough time, you will feel light, not dragged down, energetic, vitality, and conscious, among other things. You will have more mental clarity and therefore be more productive.

Your body will feel cleansed, you will be able to treat disease and prevent new ones from forming. You will see a dramatic weight loss, for instance five pounds a week. You will also notice that you do not seem weighed down with colds or sicknesses because your immune system is much stronger. You will be saving money because you can either grow your vegetables or buy them at a farmers market. Buying organic food will save the earth and provide agricultural support, which is much needed. You will also save time and money because you will not be in the kitchen cooking up a storm. You will not be eating animals, because these animals have been pumped with high hormones and that wouldn’t benefit you anyway, but instead toxify you. This in turn, puts an end to the torture in animal farming. You will not be plagued with depression, pms, or acne. In fact, your skin will be absolutely glowing, you will feel rejuvenated. This type of eating also slows the aging process.

Your senses will be enhanced; you will be more flexible and fertile. You will be more creative, motivated, and also relaxed. You will focus more on relationships and be more environmentally attuned and inwardly attuned. What you will notice is an amazing spiritual awakening that you have never experienced before because you have changed your vibrations to a higher level capable of clearer thought patterns.

The Master Cleanse Detox Diet?

It’s also known as the Lemon Detox Diet, I haven’t really done my research on this one, but I heard it is healthy and you loose weight quickly (Also Beyonce had lost 20 in 14 days using the Detox Diet!). I just want to loose a couple of pounds before my graduation comes up! I’d appreciate if anyone would tell me the the ups and downs of the detox diet and if it really works! Also how did you stay motivated on just drinking for a period of time, I am exposed to the cafeteria at my school and surrounded by delicious fast foods, I seriously can’t resist!

Starting a raw foods diet is a good way to start a healty diet and lose some weight and the same. It’s like satisfying two major goals in one straighttforward action.

Raw Food and Weight Loss

One of the biggest desires in America or the world for that matter is to lose weight. But for some reason for many people it is very difficult to lose weight no matter what they try. Well one of the main reasons this is likely to be is that they are eating the wrong foods. These foods may include processed foods, soda, starchy foods, high meats and greasy foods to name a few. What do all of these foods have in common?

They are not raw fruits or a vegetable, that’s what. Many raw fruits and vegetables have great fat burning properties that will have you losing the weight you want in no time. So if you want to lose some weight, try replacing some of the aforementioned food items with some raw foods.

Some of the best raw foods you can eat are obviously fruits and vegetables, but there are others such as seeds, nuts, grains, beans and sprouts. If you are trying to lose weight fast, you will want to know about some of the raw foods that have the best fat and calorie burning properties. For fruits, these include apples, grapefruits, mangos, pears, peaches, lemons and cherries. These vegetables are great for a midmorning or mid afternoon snack to stave off those hunger attacks. For vegetables, artichokes, brussel sprout, cauliflower, broccoli, celery, cucumber, red pepper, mushrooms and cabbage are all great foods to help promote fat and calorie burning. As far as herbs, garlic and parsley leaf are great additions to your raw foods to add additional flavor. One great meal that I have discovered is cabbage salad also often times called Chinese chicken salad. This salad is made primarily of cabbage, nuts and other vegetables and spices. The key to losing weight on a raw food diet is to find meals and snacks that you enjoy and will eat often.

The best part about a raw food diet is that you know you are putting very healthy foods into your body and as a result are shedding the pounds quicker than you ever did before. For even better results, working out at least 20 minutes every day or every couple days will help you shed the pounds even faster. While on a raw food diet you will also want to drink lots of liquids, namely water. You can also drink one hundred percent natural fruit juice as long as you know it is not processed. Odwalla is a great juice company that sells juices natural juices that you may want to check out. You may also want to consider using a juicer for squeezing out some delicious concoctions. One of my favorite fat burning concoctions is apple, carrot and orange. Juice these three delicious raw foods together and it is almost good enough to drink as a dessert.

If you decide to try a raw food diet to help your weight loss, the best thing to do is to do your research and then figure out what kind of foods and meals you would enjoy the most. Once you have a plan laid out, just have fun with it and don’t be afraid to get a little creative with your raw foods. Before you know it you will be shedding those pounds easier than you ever thought possible.

"Superfoods are the opposite of junk food–every mouthful is good for you."

I saw this video post while doing research on the web about superfood. I thought it was a pretty good presentation, and the fact it was on the Disney Channel was also of note. The only thing I take issue with is the idea that cooked food is somehow better.

It does seem like maybe foodies and the superfoods are becoming a little more acceptable. It really is a great way to live and you actually start looking forward to eating right. I must admit that you still have to watch how much you eat. Too much of a good thing can still add some unwanted pounds, and you also need to excercise a little (something like walking or swimming is good). I’ve hit a plateau, help!?

Each day:

1. I drink more than 8 glasses of water

2. I drink green tea to boost my metabolism

3. I go to the gym twice a week for an hour and a half (30-45 minutes on the eliptical or treadmill at high levels of resistance and the rest on weight training for legs, arms, and crunches, sometimes yoga).

4. I have a healthy diet (lean meats, no refined sugars, good carbs, lots of fruits and vegetables), alcohol once or twice a week, no soft drinks. Approximately 1,200 calories/day, somedays more, somedays less.

5. I take multivitamins.

6. I have done detox cleanses.

Is there something I’m doing wrong? I’m 24 years old, I’m 5′3″, and my weight fluctuates from 126-130 lbs. Two years ago I was doing the same routine but weighed 120 lbs and I was alot more muscular; bathing suit ready. What should I do to get myself to 120 lbs again?

Your problem is lack of variety, change . Your body’s used to your workout. For a year? You should change your workout-exercises, reps, weight, time every 4 to 8 weeks to kepp your metabolism & muscles guessing.
And that applies to diet too. Change. Eat less one day, more the next. And a cheat meals a good idea.

What is the best way to exercise when youre un fit?

Its been a while since I last did any proper exercise, now that Ive finished college I have all this spare time on my hands and would like to start looking after myself. I try to eat healthily most of the time, but like everyone else, am partial to the odd cake or two! I am 24, 5ft, 6 and my weight is a suprising 8.5 stone. I dont need to lose weight, but I need to do something about my fitness and suppose could do with a bit of toning up. For some one who gets puffed out when climbing the stairs and warn out just buy carrying heavy(ish) grocery bags I think its fair to say my fitness levels are incredibly low, not to mention embarrassing! Any fitness fanatics out there who can give me some advice on what exercises are appropriate for me? Do I start off with light exercise and then progress to more intensive training? How often do I need to do exercise? Is it every day? every other day? What foods do I need to eat when doing this? Proteins? Carbs? Many thanx.

Start by walking every day. Reduce your intake of starchy foods and carbs like white bread and soda. Strength training, starting out with 5lbs dumbbells is a good start. Cardiovascular exercise, while tiring, is the ultimate tool to get back into shape! Eat around 1500 to 1800 calories a day, with 35% of those calories coming from protein!
