I feed my dog a mix of a little kibble with a raw food diet which consists of venison, chicken and egg. I was just wondering what other people used for their dogs and what you thought about the diet. It works well with my dogs and I don’t have any weight problems and they have great coats. They really love the raw over the kibble that is for sure. It is a little time consuming to get everything ready for them as I have 8 dogs but I think it is worth it in the long run.
Publicity Rights Go to College in Digital Format
The right to use the image of an athlete or other public figure, and the accompanying value of that image, is considered part of the “right of publicity.” Can college athletes, whose representation might be used in video games, claim the same rights as their professional counterparts? I’d like to transition my career into health & fitness? What’s the best way?
I’m interested in going back to school for a different kind of career. I’m interested in the health and fitness field and/or a degree in Sports Medicine. I have a certification in personal training, but would like an official degree to confidently move into a specialized area of study. Any advice would be great! I could imagine myself working as a high school coach on the humble side or for a Sports team of some kind on the more extravagant side. Even physical therapy sounds interesting.
I am a physical therapist and I think it is a great field, but I started as an athletic trainer – I think this might be a good idea for you if you want to work with a sports team. You would need to go to an accredited school, work in the field to gain experience, and pass the exam to become an ATC (Certified Athletic Trainer). Then you could work for a high school or college, in a physical therapy clinic, maybe even teach a sports medicine class at the school you work at. There are very limited opportunities for working in professional sports, but it is possible too. The ATC’s role is prevention (taping, wrapping, educating), assessment (on the field and in the training room), treatment and rehabilitation of the athletes/student athletes’ injuries (acute or chronic). I had a lot of fun when I worked as an ATC and often miss it.
Hope I helped! Good luck.

Has anyone here ever become a ceritified personal trainer through online courses?
i want to know if anyone here has been certified through the national certification of sports medicine or other personal trainer certifications through online courses and exams. And if you have how successful have you been in the personal training business. I want to know because i went to a site by the national association of sports medicine that offers their programs for $700 to $800 to become a certified personal trainer and im planning on doing this since im big on health and fitness. Thanks for the help
Those “certifications” are worth less than the paper they’re written on.
If a “certified” trainer is are not qualified to teach gym class to 2nd graders, then he shouldn’t be trying to teach adults how to work out.

Possibly looking into becoming a fitness instructor/personal trainer and have some questions!?
Professional instructors and trainers are great but all answers are greatly appreciated. I am looking into possibly a career choice of fitness instruction or personal training. I have no experience and recently joined a gym. I live in CT. I was wondering if there are schools or classes you take before you go for certification and perhaps where I should look to go within my area? Any advice to get me started on where to go to learn and work my way up from there is helpful and appreciated. Thank you!
Yes you would most likely have to take classes to get certified. I would ask an instructor at your gym they would know from their personal experince.

What type of wedding gown suits someone with an athletic figure?
I’m 5′6″, 145lbs an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. I’m going gown shopping in September and can’t get a good handle on what type of gown would look good on my figure. All the guides discuss problem areas, body shapes, full this petite that, none of which I am. My body, I’m small chested, a B cup on a good day. Wear size 4-6 in normal dresses. Average waist and hips, muscular, long torso, I look normal from the front but been told I “disappear” turning profile. My biggest fear is looking like a linebacker or incredible hulking out of dresses that confine my broad shoulders. It’s an outdoor ceremony, which calls for a more informal style. I’m not into poofy gowns with giant trains. I’m classic and professional in my daily style. Married ladies or people who know dresses, please help! I like having ideas before making decisions.
Well, I’m only 13 but I think I can help. Since you said you have broad should avoid large details (flowers, lots of beading etc.) on straps. If your going to have straps, keep it simple with little to none deatil. Since you said it will be pretty informal, I would not do an over the top gown. Keep with classic lines and styles. Here is and example :
What’s the best place to have a natural childbirth in Snohomish County, WA? Supportive OB-GYN? Doula?
I’m trying to find an OB-GYN & birthing center that will support my decision for a natural childbirth & focus on fitness. Assuming I don’t have any medical restrictions, I plan on maintaining a high level of physical activity throughout my pregnancy (currently running 16 miles per week & strength training 2x week). I want to try to go through the birth without the following interventions: epidural, induction, episiotomy, vacuum extraction or forceps delivery, bladder catheterization, continuous fetal monitoring via machine hook-up, restricted food & drink, routine enema, countless dilation exams, or shaving. It doesn’t seem to matter who you choose as your practitioner but rather where you choose to give birth as your baby will most likely be delivered by whoever is on call. I’d prefer to birth at a hospital in case of an emergency. Evergreen has been recommended as a facility w/hydrotherapy. I live in S. Everett & work in Lynnwood. Your recommendations will be appreciated.
There is a few doula services on this list, hope it helps!

Is the only way to detox without surgery is to diet? Does this really give you great energy and is it healthy?
No NO No way.
Proper detox is done with herbal tea and not eating junk. Never go to a doctor for such things. If you detox, you may get itchy skin – like on your back ans the toxins make their way out of your body to the surface. Talk to a naturopath, go to a health food store and ask. Note that some tea should only be used for one week, then stop, and resume after a week. If done with a professional naturopath, you will get better results (more energy included) by letting him/her work with your body’s needs to find the true cause of any problems.
