I started my dog on the raw food diet, since I live in a very small town, I don’t have to many choices on where to get the meat. Anyways, I’m hoping that if I stock up on meat on sale, and keep it in the freezer, would all the nutrients/vitamins still be in the meat when I defrost it?(Not in the microwave, I mean naturally) And how long does meat usually last in the freezer?
I’m not much of a meat eater, so i don’t know too much about meat.
Thanks for your help!

I really want to try the raw food diet, but i love chicken and grilled meat. Is there a way to encorporate meat into the diet?
I know the concept is to eat things without processing them at all, but i do not know much about the diet, so any details would help! Thanks!
I’ve heard of raw vegans or raw foodists, and would like someone to explain this lifestyle.
If you have is it easy and healthy?
I’m a bit sceptical but am interested in hearing from real people who have thier dogs on this diet.
Interesting.
My dogs scratch alot too and they are flea free.
Am I going to starve on this diet?? I signed of for a 28 day detox that involves only raw food. I’m already a vegan and incorporate raw foods in my diet, but always crave pasta and rice. I’m so afraid I’m going to be hungry all the time.
i keep hearing all these people saying that you should feed your dog raw food, like raw chicken, lamb, hamburger, eggs or ham. but im pretty sure that would do more harm to a dog than good. i have a 1 year old German shepherd & he LOVES meat to put it simply, and i was considering putting him on this diet if it was actually healthy for him.
so is it healthy? or will it kill him?
I have been thinking about switching to a raw food diet for my dogs for awhile. I want to do all of my homework before I make the change however. Do you have any good resource info that can help me make my desicion? thanks
Have any french bulldog owners put their dog on the barf diet? If so how did you do it and what do you use to make it up. Did it help clear up the normally unbearable frenchie gas attacks? I’m very interested in doing this for my girl so any resources would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
she does eat eukenuba already but that hasn’t helped and the vet doesn’t have any other ideas…
I keep hearing this, but I’m on week 2 & feel awesome!! I’d like to hear from people who believe differently! Thx!
I know it’s certain nuts, veggies and what not but what kind of nuts exactly? must one avoid salt?
I have thyroid problems, and they say to avoid certain greens and other stuff…
to the 2nd guy: you don’t understand the concept of my question obviously..
thank you jen.. that’s interesting about the sun… I’m gonna keep in contact with you if i have follow- up questions ;]
I’m doing a 5 day fast of nothing but water and green tea, and then after I’ll only have raw fruits and veggies with roasted unsalted nuts, green tea and fresh fruit and veg juice. Has anyone else done this diet? From what I’ve read it’s healthy, fast, and something I can do potentially for the rest of my life, and I’m not looking to get talked out of it. I just want to hear other peoples experiences with it. Also, I know I’m going to cheat by allowing coffee with non-dairy creamer and Stevia (or Splenda), will this totally throw things out of whack? I know at least initially, I’m going to need my coffee, it’s my one concession. Thanks.
I won’t be having the coffee coffee during the fast.
I’ve heard alot about a raw food diet for dogs. I was wondering if anyone had any good resources to help me find a proper and safe raw food diet for dogs. Thanks in advance! :)
I heard it can cure type 1 and type 2 is it true?
I mean are dogs carnivores I asked a pet store owner whats better he said Well one has grains one doesnt. do dogs do better with grains. cuz i dont get the raw food diet. dont they need more then just chicken why does every dog food have grains then cuz which is better
I’m looking at starting a (mainly) healthy raw food diet, but it’s soooo hard during these cold winter months.
Can anyone suggest a "comfort food" that will suit this diet?
I have been reading about the benefits of the raw food diet, and that it gives you more energy and better skin.
However, there are vitamin deficits of b12 and calcium. Can you supplement vitamins to take the place of the vitamins you aren’t getting?
Anyone have anything good or bad to say that have tried it?
I was wondering whether by eating a cooked meal in the evening (healthy) this will have any of the positive effects that a raw diet can provide. Any advice would be much appreciated
Has anyone attempted this , what were the results?
apparently it can help drop a few pounds and its a good detox.
if you’ve done it, tell me how it went and your results.
