Anyone here on the raw food diet?
I was thinking of trying it (for health, not weight loss). My only concern is that it might be a tad bit expensive. I might have to buy things like a juicer and a dehydrator.

My dog is on a raw food diet. But not us humans at my house.
I am 50-75% raw here, until I get an dehydrator. they are very important. go to the library or a book store in the cooking section(raw cooking) there are soo many books to choose from.(big book stores) They have soo many recipes in them and they explain why on many things also.
Most of my foods in my diet are raw & delicious. Sometimes I go weeks without cooking & Im a good cook. But its not so important to cook now. Have a juicer but rarely use it , unless not feelilng well. Its actually quite effecient to eat raw foods
I’ve been doing RAW VEGAN all summer 11 weeks now. I do have juicer, but not a Dehydrator. You can get a small simple juicer for $30.. I have the Jack LaLanne & LUV it, cost about $99. but I’ve seen some sales on it since I got mine.
I really like Raw Food Made Easy by Jennifer Cornbleet. The recipes are excellant, most so simple.
You will need a Blender, some use a Food processor. I only have a small 1 that attaches to my Blender.
On the other side things like big huge fresh salads, require no extra tools at all.
Green Smoothies have really boosted my energy & cut my cravings down.
Have fun on your new adventure.
Slainté (to your health)
you don’t have to buyt that stuff… I mean, they claim its natural, so why do you have to do things to your food? if I was you, a blender works just fine, I’ve been a raw fruitarian for a year, and I’m perfectly fine. I think maybe its cuz wemon love to "play with their food", so they feel they must do something to it. I’ve made things before, but not using any expensive equipment (I think they are trying to take your money). I made smoothies, cirtris juice, fruit salads (blending blueberries, raspberries, and stevia or agave as the "dressing"), coconut curry, kimchi, and cucumber noodles (using a julianna blade or w/e, and mixing it with lemon, agave, cayenne, raw cashew crumbles, sea salt, and scallions).
i think u will find very good and useful tips, if u look up for dr. richard anderson on the web.
