Does eating healthy or dieting mean you have to forget about the foods you like?
Sometimes I wonder this. I know people will say that eating healthier will make you live longer, but what if the person doesn’t like what they’re eating? Some will probably say "You’ll learn to like it" and all that other stuff, but I seriously can’t imagine eating that stuff on a day to day basis. I mean, I do exercise and such, but I don’t like dieting. If I were to diet, does that mean I have to say "F*** my favorite foods"?

giving up the foods you love is just setting you up to fail on losing weight.
if you allow yourself a small portion of your favorite food you are more likely to lose weight and not feel cheated at all. but try new foods and you might learn to like something else too. dont give up altogether. moderation is a very important thing when it comes to losing weight.

No you do not have to give you your favorites. All things in moderation. Just make sure you are not eating them on a regular basis, but instead have them for a treat every once in a while and you will be fine.
Well You do not have to forget your favorite foods forever. People say I am the healthiest person they know because I am always eating healthy foods almost every meal. But I don’t view myself as the healthiest person I know and I never used to be this way. Like you said, after you start eating healthy your body adepts to those foods and when you eat unhealthy foods like say fried foods, they will start to make you feel bad. So then you really don’t want to eat them as much.
With that being said, you don’t have to forget about your foods that you like, just don’t eat them all the time. I usually allow one to two days a week that I call cheat days. On those day I let myself eat the foods I would call "bad" foods. And during the week I try to eat as healthy as possible. This allows my cravens for the bad foods to be satisfied but also allows me to remain on a healthy diet for the majority of the time.
But your taste will start changing if you stay on a healthy diet for a long period of time. Like Now I love eating veggies and salads. And you can learn to cook healthy foods that are really good tasting. Like grilled salmons, or grilled chicken or even grilled steak every once in a while. Just make sure you are staying away from the marinades and just use spices.
Also usually if you are eating out, it is usually not good for you. You have to learn to cook meals in advance to take to work then you don’t have to try and find a healthy place to eat out at. Because those places are hard to find lol.
