Fitness Training Contracts

When must one take the Physical Fitness Test before enlistment?
I know that to enlist, you have to take the ASVAB, go to MEPS and should you pass all this, then you are sworn into the DEP. My question is when do they have you run and do the basic PT? Is this before heading to BMT (Air Force) or before signing your enlistment contract? Also, what are you expected to do (physical wise)? Do they have you run a mile and do many push-ups before you even get to Training? I mean, I understand that once you sign your contract to join the Air Force you could be in DEP for a couple of months, so I would use this time to really get in shape for BMT, but the day you go to MEPS, are you expected to be able to do all theses physical tests?
You will not do a PFT the day you go to MEPS to take the ASVAB, physical, and sign your contract. You will, however, complete one prior to being assigned to a flight in Basic. The standards for females are:
1.5 mile run in 16:01 or less;
21 push-ups in 2 minutes;
38 sit-ups in 2 minutes.
If you do not meet those standards, you get to go into the “Fat Flight,” which means you spend extra time in BMT (you can’t get into a normal flight until you pass), and the “Fat Flight” is usually where new TIs go to practice their yelling and insulting skills.
