How can I convince my family and friends that raw foodism is perfectly healthy?
I’m transitioning over to raw foodism and when I told my best friend, she kept telling me how I should not eat just vegetables and fruits and that I should eat other things too. she doesn’t understand that you can get all the nutrients and vitamins your body needs without eating processed foods. also, I know my family is going to have an issue with this, how could I explain this to them? I’m very excited about the short term and long term health benefits I will be getting by cutting out dairy and processed foods from my diet (I’ve been vegetarian for three years now).

If they are the sort who will listen only when confronted with facts and numbers, find the nutrition information for the foods you will be eating online, as fruits and veggies usually don’t list them. I know this is a lot of work, but add up the daily value of protein, fiber, and some vitamins/minerals of the food you will eat in a day to show them that you really are getting enough of those.
Research the opinions of medical professionals, who agree that cutting out processed foods and animal products will do wonders for your health, provided you replace the dairy you used to eat with plant-based sources of protein, like soybeans.
The best you can do is present them with literature about it and hope for the best.
Adhering to these kinds of diets is often like telling your parents that you’re gay. There will be a lot of offense and misunderstanding in the air. People don’t like it when their children don’t eat like them, they often think that they are making judgements about the way that THEY eat.
Stay strong and reassure them that you are not judging them and that your diet is healthy and supported by the medical community.
