Leafy green vegetables, such as spinach.
Being pregnant, I’ve had an iron deficiency. Other than the vitamins I take, he told me to try spinach that it is great for Iron
Kale, Spinach, …basically anything that is a dark, leafy green.
From many numerous plant based sources like all other nutrients.
Meat is a poor source of nutrients, it hampers the digestive system which decreases nutrient uptake.
some plant based sources of iron are:
lentils, beans, leaf vegetables, tofu, chickpeas, black-eyed peas, potatoes with skin, bread made from completely whole-grain flour, molasses, teff and farina.
theres plenty of iron in a well balanced vegetarian diet.
Right now I am drinking a Green Smoothie. Greens have all the iron you need.
dark leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, collard greens.. some lettuce! also avocados… some fruits are packed with iron.. eat an apple… eat some blueberries… so on… don’t forget that asparagus (baby asparagus) peppers…
it’s not hard to get iron just like protein. :D if you eat an well balanced diet of ANY type.
and if you eat those fruits and veggies.. you’re not suffering any probability such as deficiencies!
the 5/5 (5 fruits and 5 veggies a day thing) you’re going to get more than what you need in all elements!
Other than multi-vitamins or Iron pills, you could have spinach and most leafy greens and carrots have a lot too.
