Is eating salad really that good for you? it seems to have barely any calories. isn't caloric intake crucial?
i am a slender man. trying to eat more salad. i realized by reading the diet label that the salad has barely any calories in it AND the serving sizes are gigantic. how is it good for you to eat so much and get barely any "energy" from it. isnt caloric intake the most important thing when eating? its our bodies energy source.

That’s true, calories ARE crucial. HOWEVER, they are more important is you are adding exercise to your diet plan.
If you add exercise, then calorie intake must be increased (depending on how much exercise you do.)
If you do NOT exercise, then calorie intake must be limited and constant throughout your diet.
Calories are also not the only energy source your body is getting. Carbs, fat, and protein are also good energy sources. However, like calories, they can increase weight gain. I suggest you exercise a little and drink 1-2 protein shakes a day (include it in your diet) that will make sure you get enough energy.
Good luck :)
Salads are healthy. Depending on the type it gives you servings of fruits and vegetables or more. However these arent to be eaten as a meal itself. I believe you are right that it has a low caloric intake, but if you have it with a meal you gain calories and daily servings
