Is it bad to have a diet that consist mostly of fruit?
I am starting to practice raw foodism but realize that i eat mostly fruit. infact on some days all i eat is fruit. Is this too much sugar or is it fine?

You get all the fiber you need, and most of the vitamins and minerals… but you can’t survive long term on just fruit. You need protein. Nuts can provide this. I guess you can do some beans, although raw you might have a little trouble. See the article below for ideas. Raw food diets can be extremely healthy, but you need to have awareness of your different nutritional needs.

Your body needs protein in order to survive. If you only eat fruit you’ll lose muscle mass and get really weak. Then when you start eating normally you’ll gain weight because your metabolism will have slowed down. Not a good idea. Try adding some protein, carbs, and vegetables. You need food from every food group to be healthy.

well it is too much sugar but the good thing about it is that you are getting natural sugars.
because drinking orange juice doesn’t help…so eat an orange as the alternative for juice……same goes for apples etc.
try eating a lot of vegetables as well. that way you can balance your fruit and veggie intake.
maybe once in a while eat boil chicken or very little meat so you can get your protein. fish is also healthy…..not fried though but if you like it fried then don’t eat too much of it.
oh yeah and plenty of water and milk.
It is too much sugar, too much fruit, and too little grains, dairies, and vegetables.
Right now you have about zero fiber, zero calcium, and zero protein. =\ That is not good at all.
You need a large range of foods to get the vitamins and nutrients your body needs to function! Dark green veggies are SO good for you and are packed with LOADS of good things for your body. Everybody young and old needs a good supply of calcium for strong bones and teeth. And you need whole grains to get (among other things) the right amount of fiber in your diet.
Lighter meats like fish are really good for you and give you Omega 3 fatty acids and protein that your body loves. :)

YES thats very bad u need to eat a variety of foods from all four food groups on a daily basis to be healthy- if u are goin to practice raw foodism or whatever than u shud really educate yourself more on what fruits and veggies contain certain vitmans and minerals so u get ALL of them- soy beans and tofu are very good to eat if ur not goin to eat meat. u cant live healthily off fruit! :S
raw foodism eh…..id just try eating a little bit of everything, why would you want to eat just raw food? but i guess its better than McDonald’s everyday but you still wont get everything you need from just fruit..just check out the food pyramid
the food guide pyramid is here for a reason. if you follow that you will be able to maintain the best healthiest body.

If you dont want to eat meat is ok.
Fruit (like apples, oranges, pinnaple…etc) are ok but you also need fats and protein.
to get that go with nuts (peanuts,walnuts,pistacho) for protein and fat and leafy greens for some extra protein.
if you eat only sweet fruit it will affect you on the long run. and you wont loose any weight by eating only fruit.
There are soo many calories packed into fruit. (believe it or not)
also, when it comes to all those nutrients, there is such a thing as "too much of a good thing." not to mention all the acid and sugars that are in it which can totally throw your body out of wack.
Your body NEEDS fats, proteins and carbohydrates to function properly. It is essential for tissure growth and repair as well as bone health, devolpment and repair. And fruit just wont cut it.
also, your body stores its sugars in the liver as glycogen, and when it is needed it is released. When you have an overload of sugars like that, you will end up feeling exhausted all day long. All that sugar will not store in your liver.
ALSO, too much fruit can constipate you.
Yes, because even though fruit is very nutritious, you may not be getting other essential nutrients that are found in other foods. And depending on the fruits you’re eating, it may be too much sugar.
yes because you need protien and other nutrients to stay healthy. if you added vitamin and protien supplements it wuoldnt be so bad
yes that is bad for u. u are missing out on a lot of vitamins. although fruit is healthy, it doesn’t give u everything. ur body will grow weak. try to eat in every food group. look at the food pyramid to see how many servings u need. that will make u very healthy and make ur body strong. hope that helped

Fruit on it’s own isn’t bad, and there is hardly any bad sugar in fruit!! You might want to start eating something whole, like cracker biscuits with cheese and cucumber. When you pick out meat or mince meat in the shop, try going for the lean type. Maybe instead of just eating fruit, try eating low calorie foods (like biscuits) and exercise a bit more. Good luck!

as long as you drink water then its fine, i also eat eat seeds aswell just for a bit of substance in my diet.

yes, you are getting your vitamins and the sugar is natural not processed in the fruit, but you need to also eat vegetables and meat-sushi is raw- for protein and other essential vitamins. Eating a diet of fruit could eventually dehydrate you, since it will keep you well lubercated.
I suffered from stomach pain and burning mostly, couldn’t sleep well and just hated those extra pounds I couldn’t get rid of no matter what I did. Now I stumbled upon this system that is easy and it doesn’t require expensive medication or difficult exercises.
