hey me too! Isnt anemia fun?!! lol
I drink lots of orange juice when Im feeling faint and tired. It helps a lot.
Apples give you soo much energy too. They give you more energy than a can of pop will.
Try spinach also. It has the vitamins you need. I personally cant stand spinach, but I try to put it into the things to hide the taste..
ppl are going to tell you to eat bananas, and yes they give you great energy, but only for a short time. They are good for a boost, but just remember that it fades fast and you will crash.
Its important to take vitamins daily to get the vitamins you are missing.
I take One a Day. It has the iron I need for anemia and it also has calcium Im missing from being lactose intolerant.
Hope that helps
Yeah, they call it beef…
A huge steak and two eggs will do the trick!
dark green leafy stuff like spinach. a slice of fresh pineapple perks me right up
1. Depending on what type of anemia you have, you’ll first and foremost want to ensure that’s taken care of. I can suggest a million and one things for energy production, but if you aren’t handling the root of the issue, it won’t do you any good.
2. Once you address your anemia, here are some suggestions:
Spray or drink containing loads of B12 or a B complex (try 5 Hour Energy or other energy shot drinks)
Caffeine. Lots and lots of caffeine.
Guarana
Yerba Mate
Ginseng
Ginkgo
L-Taurine (also listed as just Taurine)
L-Carnintine (also listed as just Carnintine)
Gotu Kola
There are many pills and drinks that contain a host of these.
Pasta, bananas, wholemeal bread, porridge oats. You need to eat more green veg as well.
Mitamins Advanced Formula (MAF) for Anemia
"This formula is designed to assist the body replenish levels of Iron, Vitamin B12 and Folate, common targets for the treatment of Anemia(also known as Low Hemoglobin)."—Dr. Balch
Iron deficiency is the most common cause of anemia. Vitamin C increases Iron absorption, essential in the treatment of anemia. Yellow Dock has modest amounts of Iron that are well absorbed and can help to raise Iron levels in the blood. Dandelion is used in the treatment of anemia as it may enhance the body’s ability to absorb Iron from foods or supplements. Vitamin B12 and Folate are essential for cell replication and particularly important for red blood cell production which is central to the treatment of anemia.
Take some spirulina or chlorella. They are very high in iron. In fact chorella is has a special kind of iron that allows more oxygens to attach to your hemoglobin allowing you to deliver more oxygen therefore providing you with more energy…
In order to have more energy you should eat food that is:
1. low in fat (but do include fat, about 10-20% of calories), high in omega-3′s
2. low glycemic index and insulin response (ie. meat has a low glycemic index and a high insulin response…this effect will make you possibly hypoglycemic and very very tired)
3. Raw vegetables contain more of their own enzymes which–contrary to popular belief–makes them far easier to digest. Fatigue has much to do with lack of nutrients. Raw foods have over twice the nutrients than cooked foods…
4. Stay away from caffeine as it will ‘clump’ your red blood cells and not allow them to deliver oxygen properly.
5. Choose your vitamins and supplement wisely as some may have immediate effects that do not reflect the long term. Also, research on the form it is in and additives or binders it may contain.
6. You can also do an intestinal cleanse and check for food sensitivities. Food sensitivities/toxicity can make you very tired…
Good luck!
