Losing Fat, eating what kinds of food? 10 points for best answer!?
I’m trying to lose FAT, im 16 years old, 5 feet 6", and weigh 145 lb. My BMI is normal, but I have a belly, thats super ‘un-toned’. I need to get rid of the far around the waist, and the fat around the pectorial area.
I’m exercising on the treadmill, and pushups, crunches etc…
What are some foods that are high in fibre, and protein and should be consumed on a daily basis?.
I dont know if I should have carbs, because of the rumor that they’ll turn into fat, i wana burn fat, not carbs..

Today’s plan:
11:00 am -20 min cardio on treadmill
(BREAKFAST) 11:30 am – 2 weetabix with low fat milk
12:00 pm – 1 medium banana
(LUNCH) 2:00 pm – 100g mixed green veg’s including brocolli, cauliflower, green beans…..and 2 cups pulses soup
3:30 pm – 20 min cardio on treadmill
5:00 – 1 Apple
6:00 – 20 min cardio on treadmill
(DINNER) – 2 chicken breasts…50g brocolli, 8 strawberries
——-8 glasses of water)——–

You’ll burn muscle instead of fat! You aren’t eating enough calories. You’ll lose weight but it will be muscle and your body thinking you are starving it will start to store fat. If you have a propensity to store fat around your belly, you’ll see it get stored there. So……you have to eat more and it has to be a balanced diet of proteins, healthy carbs and healthy fats.
I don’t know if you are getting up at 11 and that’s why you’re not eating until 11 but if you are getting up earlier you have to eat as soon as you get up. The beiggest mistake people make is that they don’t eat breakfast (because they aren’t hungry, they don’t like it, it’ll make the hungrey all day, etc.,etc) and this is also a trick that causes your body to store fat and slow your metabolism down. So, try to eat earlier in the day. Also, eat 3 healthy meals and 3 healthy snacks. Also, go to a website and figure out how many calories you should eat based on your height, weight and exercise level (webmd.com has a good one) but I believe that you’ll probably need to eat around 1800 – 2200 calories per day.
Then, you need to follow a diet lwith these ideas:
Breakfast – high fiber cereal (Fiber One Caramel is good, Special K, Raisin Bran, etc – look for high fiber on the side perferably over 5 grams) with 1-2% milk and fruit or juice; or bagel and peanut butter and fruit or juice; or oatmeal and fruit; or yogurt with granola and fruit; or toast with melted cheese and fruit
Snack (3-4 hours later) – fruit, nuts, yogurt; cottage cheese with crushed pineapple; granola bar; Fiber One bar; banana with peanut butter
Lunch – subway fit meal with fruit (healthy sandwich with lean meats and veggies, light condiments); or lean cuisines or south beach meals with a side salad and light dressing; salad with 3-4 oz of chicken and light dressing
Snack (3-4 hours later) – fresh veggies – carrots, red, yellow, orange peppers, celery, broccoli, caulifower, light pudding, nuts, fruit, jello
Dinner – 4-6 oz lean mean, fresh veggies, wild rice OR sweet potatoes
Snack – protein drinks, popcorn, cheese and wheat crackers
No less than 8 glasses of water, green tea – at your age you need to be getting milk
Make sure your breads have high fiber – you can find whole wheat with 5+ fibers, eat whole grain pastas and rice, eat sweet potatos instead of regular, bagels are good
Cook soups and foods from cooking light and weight watchers. They have great recipes that will add variety so you don’t burn out if you decide to eat healthy for a while.
You should also be doing strength training every other day so your muscles have time to repair themselves. I would also recommend at least one day of rest from everything.

ok well i have the same problem!! my grandma always tells me in the morning eat fruit, lunch have a salad, and dinner eat a piece of meat and vegetables. If your hungry and want a snack have a granola bar. i hope i helped
sounds good, but don’t u have skool? that might get in the way, that is excelent on the wknds, try to run for 20 min in the morning, eat breakfast, shower,and then go to school, then squeeze in another 20 min afterward. ohyea, u wanted to know about food… well fish and chicken is execlent, i would only eat one chicken breast with a salad and keep ur fruit. um…. i don’t know what pulses soup is, so i cant help u there, drink plenty of water, maybe 9-10 glasses a day ( u need 8 but the more the better, just watch out for water intoxication, once u start feeling dizzy, know that uve had too much,, and dont drink that much in one day again) umm…… do eat carbs, the only way that they absorb into fat is if u don’t exercise, carbs give u energy. 3,500 (i think that’s what it was) calories= 1 pound, so if u have a thinga mabopper that tells u how many calories ur burning,well then u would know how much weight ur losing a day. sorry i couldn’t be of much help, ur on the right track, just lots of fruits and veggies, and white meat, and drink ur milk, u will be fine.
