It is all I’ve fed for 3 years …

It is all I’ve fed for 3 years now and my pets health has improved 10000000%. Check out Dr Pitcairn, the Whole Dog Journal(a magazine), and many more I don’t know about. The pet food companies somehow try to convince you that dog food is good but read the ingredients. Would you eat that? If you did you would be sick as a dog. If you are smart enough to feed yourself, you can feed your dog with just a little research. Too bad you’re against raw.

- My dogs are fed a "partial – raw" diet.
Breakfast is either raw or homecooked dogfood.
Supper is a good kibble. The kibble I use has rice, not corn.
I crock pot my dogs’ meals most days.
I have a 6gal crock pot. I keep it simple. Dogs don’t need fancy. They LOVE meat…I fill the crock pot about 2/3 of the way with meat (don’t remove the fat) & cover it completely with water, usually beef products (including heart, tongue, liver, pancreas, etc. from the abbatoir). Once the meat has cooked in the crock pot for 4-6 hours, I put in 1 to 1.5 cups of rice and crock pot it another 1-2 hours. Sometimes I add chopped celery at this point. Finally, I put in 1 to 1.5 cups of plain oatmeal and turn the pot off. This absorbs the remaining liquid not absorbed by the rice. I may also add canned spinach (drained) at this time if I didn’t add celery.
That’s it. All it needs after this is to be cooled down.
In the morning, I serve each dog 1% of it’s body weight in raw or homemade dogfood and then top it with 1/8 tsp of kelp and 1-2 TB of plain yogurt. These help with skin condition and gassiness problems.
Breakfast excites my dogs and their energy levels went WAY UP when I shifted to this diet. Dogs don’t need a variety of recipes. I alternate beef with chicken. If you have hunters who can provide you with deer meat, this is also a good meat to cook for your dog. If you have meat cutters in your area that you can get trimmings from, the dogs LOVE goat & lamb bones and scraps of meat and fat. My dogs get MOST excited when I have the lamb trimming scraps from the 4H lambs that people had butchered for the freezer. The meat cutter gave me all those scraps for free and I kept them in the freezer and got out a bit at a time as treats or to put in the homemade food.
Enjoy. You can email me if you need more information @->–
- my best advice is dont do it you cant get all what a dog needs with human food best to stick with dog food or your dog will become malnurished there are alot of organic dog food out there like nature’s own
- Dogs should naturally eat raw food, that is what makes their immune system and general health at its best. If you really don’t want to feed raw, just give cooked meats such as chicken or beef etc. your dog will improve so very much when you switch from commerical dog foods!
- i personally dont cook kiras food, i raw feed, but i know lots of people who do cook the food.
all they do is boil up the meats, sometimes add a bit of rice (tbh i dont know why) and sometimes cook a bit of veg up. Little bits of organs like liver and heart should also be added. Just vary the meat each day or couple of days to keep it interested.
tbh tho i dont see why you want to cook it though, your cooking the bulk of the nutrients out. but its your choice. either way its much better than kibble.
- Hi, if you feel you don’t have enough time to make something for your dog as well as yourself, there is an alternative- frozen dog food. These meals are home cooked and sold frozen, so you can defrost them when it’s supper time. This way you’re getting the best of both- your dog is eating something healthy and nutritious, yet it’s not any more trouble for you. Plus there’s lots of different flavours/recipes to choose from. Any pet shop should sell these, eg, PamPurred Pets.

- Acai Berry and Colon Cleansing Detox Info?
i know a lot about colon cleansing and a little about acai berry. i know that if you colon cleanse, it will get the toxins out of your system that hold you back in a way. once you’re squeaky clean on the inside then your body starts working how it was meant to.. after just 5 days of a 15 day colon cleanse i was eating half as much as i used to and i was craving foods that were good for you instead of the fast food junk i used to LOVE. you have to teach your body about what it really needs. right now it thinks that all the junk is what it needs to thrive. if you clean everything up and start with a new slate then all the food we were meant to live off of will be satisfying. the sugar in fruits will be enough to keep you going without coffee. the sodium in veggies will curb the craving for chips and fries.. so on and so forth.be careful about mixing though. a colon cleanse might be enough to jump start you. acai berry is a new trend and im not sure i trust the claims just yet. as long as all the ingredients in the supplements you get are natural ingredients found in nature then you should be fine. worse case scenario if the products are natural is you might spend a lot of extra time in the bathroom..

Please do not do either. There is absolutely no benefit in either over hyped dubious product. Colon cleanse by any method is best avoided.
The colon is completely self cleansing so called colon cleanserscan cause diarrhoea vomiting, nausea and abdominal cramps. It can cause a dangerous loss of water and electrolytes, which can lead to dehydration and even abnormal heart rhythms.
When it comes to colon cleansing and weight loss, without solid evidence that colon cleansing is a safe and effective way to lose weight, why risk messing with your colon?Catherine Collins, chief dietician at St George’s Hospital in southwest London, said she saw dozens of patients suffering side-effects ranging from bowel problems to potassium depletion. “There is a fixation with the notion that we can detoxify the body through what we eat and drink, but the whole idea has no scientific basis,” said Dr Collins.
As for that wretched berry, it does not aid weight loss. There have been posts on here grumbling about losing money but not weight.
There are more antioxidants in other fruits eg blueberries.
Antioxidants are good but do not aid weight loss.
Type in acai and scam. - what are good foods to eat before a game for energy?
PASTA! for sure. eat pasta an hour to an hour and a half before the game (so you don’t get cramps) and you’ll be good to go. i play baseball and i always have energy after eating pasta. all those starchy carbs seem to do the trick - Have anyone tried Hoodia Gordonii Plus?
Yeah, I tried it and it didn’t work. I took a couple of different brands and it was all hype. The only thing I felt was a headache from one that had nicin in it.What’s working for me now is eating a lot of high-fiber foods like All Bran Buds because they fill you up and seem to control sugar cravings.
Drink lots of water and green tea too.

Barbie d, I totally agree with you!The main goal here not to buy fake Hoodia. It is cheaper but it can only harm your health.
I ordered from this Hoodia online store http://besthoodiaonline.com/ and got it in 3 days.I’ve lost 80lbs in 6 weeks. But it’s not only Hoodia. I tried to eat less and to drink much water.
Good Luck, Lola!

Many people have had success with preparing their own food for their dogs. It’s probably better than most commercial kibble if you pay careful attention to the dog’s nutritional needs. It certainly takes a little more planning and preparation. I do feed my dog a raw diet with great results so far. I made that decision because cooking does remove some of the nutritional value.
There are quite a few Yahoo groups you could look into joining, people that make their own food, cooked or raw. Good luck!
