So, a raw food diet? How is that supposed to really work?
Okay, so don’t tell me that its bad for me, and that its going to give me bacteria or anything, but I love the taste of raw hamburger. I’m considering going on a raw food diet. I’ve looked around Google and found that nuts, veggies and fruits, raw meat are part of the diet. Is it a better diet for someone who doesn’t exercise that much? Can someone exactly tell me what is in a raw food diet and what its supposed to do/is for?

There are actually 2 different raw food diets with just one difference between them – animal products and by-products. If you choose to do the one that includes raw meat and dairy, then you better find a local farmer(s) that raises organic livestock and not in a "factory farm." There is video on youtube that will help you in your decision about buying meat at the grocery store and eating it raw. (It’s called, "Meet Your Meat.")
I am a firm believer in the raw food diet that doesn’t include meat nor dairy. (Pick up the book, The China Study by T. Collin Campbell OR The Food Revolution by John Robbins – you’ll see why I choose to not eat meat.)
This raw food diet is meant to give a body enzymes and nutrients that are not present in cooked foods above 105 degrees (F). It also aids the body in self-healing and cleansing, among many other benefits. It has been well-documented and studied how disease can be reversed or eliminated all together.

"What is the Raw Food Diet?
The raw food diet is a diet based on unprocessed and uncooked plant foods, such as fresh fruit and vegetables, sprouts, seeds, nuts, grains, beans, nuts, dried fruit, and seaweed.
Heating food above 116 degrees F is believed to destroy enzymes in food that can assist in the digestion and absorption of food. Cooking is also thought to diminish the nutritional value and "life force" of food.
Typically, at least 75% of the diet must be living or raw."
