Proper detox is done with herbal tea and not eating junk. Never go to a doctor for such things. Note that some tea should only be used for one week, then stop, and resume after a week. If done with a professional naturopath, you will get better results (more energy included) by letting him/her work with your body’s needs to find the true cause of any problems.

I went to the doctor last year after having one of the worst pains i have ever felt in pelvis area and they told me that i probably had an ovarian cyst rupture.
Ever since that day at the hospital my ovaries have bothered me with pains from minimal to severe during my period and sometimes out of the blue. I went on a detox diet which helped with a lot of the pain. I introduced a few more foods and they began to hurt a little more again.

I currently take acti-vit (a combination of diet pill for metabolism/energy to work out and vitamins) as well as The Republic of Tea :Be well red teas ( GET CLEAN: herb tea for detoxing), which help me lose weight, energy to work out, and help me clean my system when I eat too much. However, I just got prescribed Lexapro to help with my depression and anxiety. So is it safe to take Lexapro while I’m on vitamins, diet pills, and detox tea or should I stop?
Just from personal experience… I would NEVER mix anything like diet pills with the Lexapro.
I take a antidepressant as well, and I thought about diet pills and asked my doctor and everything. They Ok’d it, but in all reality I could feel the difference from the diet pills b/c my antidepressant was somehow being affected.
But if your worried ask the pharmacist. They can help, or run it by your doctor.
My advice is, vitamins are OK. anything else I wouldn’t risk it ever again.

You probably have a throat infection :) That will cause a sore throat and earache. It would be best to get that checked out.
The pimples might be related to your recent diet shift though.
When I went vegan I lost all my spare weight and gained a lot of energy. My asthma cleared up ( I had been told all along to avoid dairy because of it). I started working out a TON to get rid of the excess energy.

What Has Helped you Switch to a RAW diet for your dog?
I asked a question earlier about what to feed and am considering a raw diet.
I’m scared about the period of detox, also about not feeding the right porportions of organ meat, bones, possibly grains, fruits/veggies. What books/websites have good info on switching? Also if you know anything in particular to advise me on. I’m afraid if I don’t do it right, my dog could end up sick, or die.
Skip the grains and the veggies dogs have no need for them. the basic proportion is 80/10/10 muscle bone organ. Half of the organ 10% should be liver. Cut up some (preferably organic) lemons or limes.
Heat up your water (I just zap it in the microwave for 90 seconds).
Squeeze lemon/lime juice into the warm water (try to avoid getting seeds in your water-- I use a tea filter).
Sprinkle a little cayenne powder in and stir in your maple syrup.
Drink this several times a day when you get hungry or thirsty (ok to alternate with pure water but not much else).
Use this as an exclusive food for 2-30 days, as you deem appropriate.
I haven’t tried this one, but I did try one that involved a lot of Apple Juice. I did that one for 2 1/2 days and then ended up in the hospital with an enlarged gallbladder that hurt like an appedicitis. After that experiment I spoke with some people who recommended CleanseSmart. These are pills and there are several types of programs available, from total cleanse to targeted cleanse. I found it worked well.

Go to your nearest health food store. They should have a supplement department. In that department should be someone like me, who can ask you all kinds of questions about what you’re eating, and what your health is like. Then they can recommend the product that’s best for you, and tell you about any stuff you may experience. Usually, a 2 or 3 day detox just makes you pee a lot, but the longer cleanses can put you into a healing crisis.

Yes, I already exercise daily. But my weight has been stagnant at 7 pounds overweight. I am trying to do it for a life insurance examination. I am already on a low-calorie diet. I know your dilemma because I have been there too. Its very frustrating when you are doing all the right things and nothing happens!
You could try to change the activities you do to burn calories – or just up the intensity, for example, walk fast to the end of one block, jog slowly to the end of the next block, walk the next one, jog the following one etc…it will ‘shock’ your body into having to deal with the new routine.
What you eat is harder, because if you drop too many calories your body will know it and begin to conserve energy which you DONT want!
You want your body to be a furnace! I would try to do something different – eat 5 smaller meals or decide whether eating a bigger breakfast works better for you or if you prefer to ‘fill up’ at night with a large serving of vegetables and some protein.
I find I can eat a smaller breakfast but I am hungry at lunchtime. I try to keep my blood sugar nice and even by eating fruit or a handful of nuts or lowfat yoghurt for a snack.
Dont eat after 7 pm…that always seems to get me to lose weight – even if I dont do anything else! True!
Try to fill up on lots of water and drinks like green tea or sugar free drinks.
