I thought if I spray cold water, I could get rid of my heat inside my body. And also drank drinks with 6 ice cubes, and chilled in freezer for 15minutes. I eat less for dinner to not gain calorie which could give me more energy and make me hot but I guess I was wrong. It’s still so hot as always. The cold shower only makes me okay for about 2~3 hours. =[ It is so hot that I can’t sleep and bedtime is a nightmare time. lol There is no air conditioner.

I’d like to start a raw diet for my kitten. One side of my family are turkey farmers. I would be able to get 20 pounds of turkey breast to keep in the freezer and thaw out as needed. Would this be the right way to do it? Or are meats from places that provide for a raw diet treated in some way???
Also, how often do you feed the kitten on a raw diet?
Iv’e been in the process of switching my dogs to a raw diet. I still have some kibble left, so I have been slowly introducing them to some raw food to get thier stomachs used to it. It seems there are a million and one different ways to go with this raw diet! I would like to buy the foods myself and prepare them myself. I always buy 1/4 cows and have a storage freezer to fit the extra meat for dogs. I have been giving them some raw chicken thighs, some steak and hamburger. Now I know this probably is not all there is to it. Iv’e googled up raw recipies and seem to get companies selling thier products more than actual do it youself recipies. What are some good recipies I can give my dogs. I’m not really to worried about the veggies as much as I am the supplements I need to add to make the meal complete and healthy so they do not lack any vitamins or essential supplements needed. What are some of your recipies? I am looking for the complete meal with absolutely everything they need.
I have been feeding my dogs raw food for the last two months, and while they started out well on it, their health has slowly gone down hill. They now have diarrhea, they throw their food up, and are generally lethargic. I have been feeding them Primal Raw Food (Duck and Beef), the appropriate amount for their weight. It has been kept securely in the freezer, and thawed correctly in a very sanitary environment, so there has been no risk of contamination, so I know that isn’t what has made them ill. Do some dogs just not do well on the Raw diet? My dogs are Chihuahuas, if it matters. We’ve tried the Raw diet on two separate occasions now, months a part, and both times they have been made ill on it. I transition them correctly, from good kibble (orijens) to raw, and provide them probiotics just in case. Has anyone experienced this problem before? Has anyone else’s dog rejected this diet? I’m putting my girls back on a high-quality kibble diet tomorrow, if I can’t figure out what’s wrong.
You know, finding the right diet for them has been a battle, and their original raw diet was self-made, organic local meats only (and they have always received raw bones!). Half the people I know say raw is bad, the other half say I’m crazy if I don’t feed raw. Every vet I’ve had has been opposed to raw, but every holistic store owner has pushed for the raw. My dogs were perfectly healthy and happy on high quality, grain free kibble with the occasional raw bone. When I switched to raw food entirely, the problems just took over. I love my babies, I want them healthy and happy, so I may just stick with the hard food an supplement them appropriately with raw treats now and then. It’s like having kids, and being told you aren’t raising them correctly on a regular basis- I really don’t think anyone knows for sure what the best food is, and really, I think it depends on the dog. People will always be critical of whatever food I feed them. It’s harder to feed my Chi’s than myself!
I started my dog on the raw food diet, since I live in a very small town, I don’t have to many choices on where to get the meat. Anyways, I’m hoping that if I stock up on meat on sale, and keep it in the freezer, would all the nutrients/vitamins still be in the meat when I defrost it?(Not in the microwave, I mean naturally) And how long does meat usually last in the freezer?
I’m not much of a meat eater, so i don’t know too much about meat.
Thanks for your help!
Do you think one could cut up deer,or have it ground..bones and all and feed it to our dogs? Also what about old, freezer burnt,or spoiled meat..Is it still feedable?
I have read a lot about feeding chicken to dogs but is turkey just as good?
Thank you!
