This actually isn’t a question but a solution as I have had elevated levels of EBV, and Mono symptoms for 10 months.

One thing I found very helpful was vitamin B supplements. The ones I used were Super Complex by Nature Made, and my symptoms of fatigue, insomnia, anxiety have lessened significantly. Another supplement I tried was monolaurin which seemed to have good effect, although I stopped taking that but I continually take Vitamin B complex, calcium, multivitamin, vitamin E, fish oil -omega 3 and I am feeling much better w/ close to no symptoms, albeit I have a minor sore throat.

I’ve tried large doses of Vitamin C, always drink lots of fluids, honey and lemon, green tea, white tea, milk thistle

Try vitamin B if you know you have CEBV or high EBV levels, I’m thinking that the virus depleted my body of B vitamins, and now I take 3 pills a day w/ food. It seems to be helping, try it for yourself!!!!

I am getting caught up in the whole ORAC measurements and antioxidant’s anti-aging power. I am drinking more green tea and eating more cranberries and goji berries, and daily vitamin E supplements. I feel good about my better dieting but can’t help but think if antioxidants are all hype. What makes one antioxidant different from others? For instance, if vitamin C is an antioxidant, why can’t I just drink more Hi-C (ignoring the high sugar content) to get my antioxidants? Should I just ignore claims from foods that say antioxidants are super cool and just focus more on other aspects of the food???

Green tea
There is no end to the benefits of this super brew; green tea boasts a wealth of benefits that earns it the top spot in our anti-aging food list. Green tea is believed to help regulate blood pressure, lower blood sugar, boost the immune system, lower cholesterol and studies have even shown that green tea can be effective at preventing cancer. That’s as close to the elixir of life as you can get.

i have a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 month old and i watch my 18month old neice mon thru friday 8 to530. i eat a very healthy diet of lots of whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies and i work out 2 hours a day. i also work from home and go into my office from about 530 to 930 a couple times a week. my 2 month old sleeps very well at night only gets up 1 to 2 times but m 2 1/2 year old just moved to a toddler bed and his whole sleep schedule is messed up. I cant get him to stay in his room and nap and its very difficult to get him to bed and some nights he will get up at 3am for no reason and be up for the day. my husband is a sheriff and works the night shift 6 days a week so i am alone with the kids at night. i normally go to the gym at from 1 to 3 when my husband gets up but i want to start going right when he gets home at 6am. i used to do this before our daughter was born and i felt better and more energetic through out the days. I now feel sluggish and have migranes everyday from lack of sleep and energy.

any suggestions or something i can take to have more energy while also being a breastfeeding mom?
isnt coffee bad while breastfeeding?
well im do not like coffee anyways i ususally drink caffeine free hot tea or green tea and i try to stay away from pop but i occasionally have it. so maybe i will try caffeinated tea

Hi.

I’m a 22-year-old female and I’m looking for some diet tips or natural remedies to keep lethargy (and stress-related swollen glands, which I’m prone to) at bay, or to get rid of existing moderate fatigue, like I have now.

I’m coping okay right now, but I just started a new, very active and pretty stressful sales job two weeks ago, after being unemployed since last December. I’m really determined not to get sick again like I have in previous full-time jobs.

I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 this year, and have been medicated with Lithium for about two months. It’s been pretty effective, although one of the common side effects is fatigue. I was just bumming around when I started it, so perhaps I didn’t notice it so much, but it could be more prominent now that I’m working in a fast-paced job.

My diet is generally very good. Low-fat as I’m trying to lose a few kilos. I’m 168cm and about 67kg, so I’m in the healthy weight range, but I’d mostly like to tone up and lose a little excess fat. Also, low in added sugar and salt, especially salt because of my meds. I mostly avoid bread and pasta in favour of rice and polenta. Dairy-free because I find dairy aggravates my asthma. No. 1 protein is fish and low-salt baked beans (my typical breakfast), but I try to eat red meat a few times a week, plus some occasional chicken etc. Daily, I typically eat kiwi and orange, then various green vegies, carrots, cauli, and I regularly eat seaweed with sushi hand rolls.

I take these daily supplements: Blackmores Bio-C, and Nature’s Own Women’s Multi-V and Fish Oil capsules. Any other suggestions? (I’m in Australia, so brands may vary, but I can look up equivalents.)

My main vice is coffee. Before working I could go without, or only have one weak short black some days. Now I drink 2-5 coffees (black or soy) each working day, and sometimes Coke, but I try hard to avoid that. Trying to replace some coffee with Korean green tea, but it doesn’t give me that lift I need. Ideally, I’d be feeling naturally energetic enough to not need so much coffee. Just don’t know how to get there.

I try to only drink 2-3 times a week, and mostly only 1 or 2 drinks per session. Beer, white wine or bourbon and Coke. I think I’m doing okay on that front.

Exercise: The month before I started work I was getting up to a good level of fitness, with long distance runs followed by sit-ups/push-ups/plank/etc. 4-6 times a week. Now that I’m working, it’s more like once or twice.

I generally sleep well, but even after sleeping in 2-3 days in a row (like now for Easter long weekend) I still feel lethargic and grumpy. So, any suggestions for my lifestyle or diet? I know my diet’s pretty good, but are there any super foods or nutritional combos people swear by to survive busy working weeks?

I’ve been a dancer for years, and my abs are pretty toned. I take dance 3 times a week (cardio) and I do ab (and other) exercises. I’m 15 and 108 lbs, 5’4", and thin. Except my stomach. I want it to look naturally flat so i don’t want to like overload on ab exercises. I am on a good diet, I don’t ever have soda or fast food or super unhealthy, sugary, fattening foods. I also drink green tea 2 times a day. What am I doing wrong??? I hate feeling sooo self conscious in tight shirts, and it makes me really upset that I’m working so hard for a flat stomach, but it’s not working!! =( What should I do?

PLEASE help
lol I do not have a six pack. my abs are strong but deff not a six pack haha. and my knees are kind of bad already, and running will make them worse =(

I weigh 10 stone and want to be 7 stone.
I have a 26 inch waist and 36 inch hips and a 34 inch chest.
I am 15 and I am a part time model but when I’m 16 in January I want to go full time. So by then I need the following: 24 inch waist, 34 inch hips, 34 inch chest<< at the maximum! and I want to weigh 7 stone!

What exercises should I do and what should I eat?
If I also take 5 green tea tablets and drink 5 cups of green tea a day + the excercise and food will this help even more?
And also what is cardio?

I’m 14, and I’m trying to eat healthier and maybe lose a little bit of weight. I’m not counting calories or obsessing; I just want to focus on being healthy and exercising more. Do you think this sounds like a healthy (general) meal plan?
Breakfast: a bowl of Puffins (it’s this low fat, all natural cereal from Trader Joe’s) with 1% milk and a banana.
Lunch: either a chicken Caesar salad with milk (if I buy from the school cafeteria) or, if I take from home: a chicken/turkey (either one) and veggie (lettuce, shredded carrots, tomatoes, red peppers…whatever) wrap (whole wheat wrap) with milk and an apple.
Snack: (after school) two clementines and a cup of green tea with milk.
Dinner: My mom is a really great cook, and she makes healthy food. We usually have things like whole wheat bread, brown rice, salmon, chicken, veggies, etc.

So, that’s kind of a general meal plan. Do you think it sounds healthy and how can I improve it? All suggestions would be welcome. Thank you =)
Sorry if all the parentheses notes are distracting…

Okay, I have more fat around my middle, butt and thighs, but my arms and calfs and feet and upper body is super thin. How can I balance out? my eating habits aren’t that good. I only eat usually once a day, around 5. But i don’t eat grease or fried foods. Also, I don’t drink pop, only juice and water, and green tea. which exercise routine is the best for me? Should I run or walk? Is brisk walking just as effective as jogging?

Ok I’m going to daytona next weekend and I know my weight is fine (I’m 12, 4’7 and weigh 81 lbs) but I want to maintain it for Daytona. Here is my meal plan…Rate it? Is it healthy? I’m open to any ideas!
Breakfast-
Bowl of grape nuts (whole milk) or Cheese omelet(American cheese)
With Apple or 2 slices of toast and glass of orange juice

AM snack- 2 tbsp of ranch veggie dip and 10 whole wheat crackers With green tea (one of those things you put in the water bottle-10 cals)

Lunch- Italian style wedding soup, 5 saltine crackers and a small salad (teaspoon italian dressing). Green tea to drink.

PM snack- Half a baked potato (no toppings) and a chopped apple

Dinner- Whatever mom cooks but tonight – Steamed veggies, steak, salad and slice of bread (Coke possibly or green tea)

Pm snack(if hungry)- 15 pretzels with a teapoon of ranch veggie dip (no drink)

What do you think? Thanks!
Oh! I forgot excercise! Well I plan to walk 30 min, do 100 sits ups and some of the other basics daily.

I’ll also reduce some of the snacks.

I ordered Hoodia Gordonii Plus after reading rave reviews about it. It doesn’t work. I am sending back for a rhe bottle says 400 mg per serving. A serving is 2 capsules so it seems to only be 200mg per pill. Also, it makes me feel a little jittery after I take it. Could that be from the Green Tea Leaf Extract ?

I’ve been eating super healthy – my body feels wonderful. BUT, I really want to eat cookies for breakfast. I just finished some oatmeal and green tea. Should I give in, or should I keep on the straight and narrow (food wise)?

Is it unhealthy to drink Lipton Green Tea w/ citrus? I really like the taste and all, but I heard that it’s unhealthy for you? Also, are foods like bread and pasta bad because of carbohydrates? Why are carbs so bad? I always thought bread was super healthy but nowadays people are avoiding bread and pasta. Why? :(
