I have been on the "raw food diet" for 2 days and i totally blew out last night. I had pizza and ice-cream… :( Does this mean i have to start all over again?? It’s so hard.. Also are headaches normal?

Purchase Fat Burning Diet

I am only bringing it up because i feel there’s something about it that’s flawed. While many claim it’s the consumption of meat that allowed humans to evolve, i think it is more specifically man’s ability to use fire and other tools to process.. Cooking, Milling, and understanding of chemical properties play a role in improving human diet over the millenia, us to eat more food than any other animal on this planet.

claim one by raw foodies: a living fruit/vegetable is better than a "dead" one.
my response: ok, so when a banana or pineapple or pear is "ripe" it’s actually because its starches have broken down into sugars (which means its a dying fruit) should i have to eat my apples and banana’s while they’re still green? also, a fruit is not an independent organism, so how can it be considered "alive?"

Claim two: processed food is not healthy

well, try explaining that to ancient meso-americans, who’s survival and advancement depended on processing their cornmeal with lime or ash, in order to acquire extra proteins from their main crop.

Also, raw foodies claim it’s "normal" to have headaches or extreme hunger while on a juice fast. I say that’s your body’s way of telling you something is wrong. (like, eat some solid food.)
Explain to me how so many Sicilians (who eat pasta and wine), or the japanese (who eat fermented soy) live to be a hundred years

Maybe we American’s should get the martyrdom complex out of our heads, that personal suffering is the key to progress.

And another thing: Raw Milk? Seriously? WTH? You know what raw milk is useful for? Creme Fraiche, and yes, that stuff is technically fermented product.

EATING:

I can’t eat very many sugary/greasy foods. Meat bothers me the most; I get sick when I eat it. I sometimes don’t feel like eating at all. I never eat breakfast, unless it’s on the weekends.

BREATHING:

Lately, in the past two months, I have been having breathing problems. Usually this is accompanied by feeling nauseous, and having headaches. This usually happens when I wake up. If I take a mid-day nap, I will feel this way, but to an extreme point. I will feel like I can’t eat anything, but I feel really dehydrated and thirsty.

MOOD:

My mood is usually pretty calm. I can’t pay attention in class all that well. Sometimes I feel a little depressed, but I’m usually fine. I often feel like I can’t handle situations. I often feel I can’t think things through all the way.

ENERGY:

I always feel tired. Sometimes I have bursts of energy but they are usually for short amounts of time. I can’t run no more than a half of a lap, or I will pass out. If I run any longer, I feel like I will die. My body doesn’t feel tired, but my heart feels so worn out.

SLEEPING:

I have no problem with waking up in the morning. I don’t have trouble getting to sleep, as long as it’s after 11:00. For some reason, falling asleep at 10:00 (my bedtime) is extremely hard for me. On weekends, I sleep for 11 hours+. For the past month, I have been feeling sick(as stated above) when I wake up.

WEIGHT:

I often loose/gain 5-10 pounds a day. I weigh myself everyday. Lately I have been feeling skinnier, but I am still in the normal range of weight I usually am. It’s mostly because of becoming an inch taller, I think my skeleton has stretched me out a bit.

MENSTRUAL CYCLE:

I am 14 years old. Ever since I started my period when I was 11, I have been extremely irregular. When I first started my period, I bled for 3 months straight. I went to a gynecologist and he said to check back in about 3 months. I lost a bit of weight after that, but I didn’t have another period after that for a couple of months. Ever since then, I have NEVER been regular. I will miss alot of periods, then it will last no more than a week. I am not sexually active.

I do not take any medications or supplements. I do not take vitamins.

I would like a TRAINED professional, to please, tell me whats wrong, and if so, give me some ways to help whatever may be wrong with my body?

These are all symptoms I find irregular.

I usually drink it iced. but not freezing cold, so I do not think its the temperature. even when its mildly cold, it gives me headaches and a feeling that I might throw up. it usually goes away after a few minutes. but it is super inconvinient because I’m drinking it for health reasons! I usually drink it with food. not without so I don’t think it’s related to my stomach.

I’m trying to become a raw foodist, but every time I eat raw for a couple days, my body starts to detoxify and I get headaches and feel like throwing up! I really want to become at least 70% raw, but don’t want to always feel sick! Should I just tough it out?

I heard that eating your veggies and fruits raw should diminish your chance of getting cancer.Sowe have been eating raw veggies and habe been making fruit and veggy smoothies No meat, no dairy products lots of rice and rice products and all kinds of grains nuts and tofu. Almost no fat except for olive oil no sugar, ezcept when it is in prepared foods and juices. It is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it and is easy and quick to prepare. We feel quite energetic. and my headaches are gone – zap! I also lost 4 pounds in three weeks (fast enough for me)
But we love breads of all kinds and eat it, but we wonder if it is appropriate
with the raw food diet.
