One’s body is typically wonderful at cleansing itself, but unfortunately if it happens to be relentlessly provided with meals that are very hard to digest, the duty of cleansing will be put aside.

If you are preparing to claim a more healthy lifestyle, you may choose to commence by undertaking a 3 day cleanse diet before undertaking an entirely raw food diet.

Seeing that you can find a number of versions of this plan made available, the one we are recounting below is really simple to keep up with and should help in clearing out dangerous impurities from your body.

It is wise to take the necessary precautions before your body begins exhibiting indications that you require a raw detox diet.

Should you begin feeling tired without physical labor, if the skin begins to develop a rash, in the eventuality that you’re putting up with constipation, should you find that your urine is darker than the usual color, or you are having difficulty to breathe, a three day detox might be worth trying, after checking with a qualified practitioner first.

A variety of steps that you need to adhere to when commencing with a three day detox diet are listed below. You only need to stick to these ideas for three days, however, doing it a little longer can offer deeper cleansing.

- These next items ought to be totally removed from your daily diet: complex carbohydrates, alcohol, smoking, coffee and fast foods.

- Try incorporating a large amount of raw fruits and veggies.

- Have a minimum of 8 – 10 glasses of water every day

Apparent gains of a 3 day detox diet:

- Raw, organic food, like fresh fruits and veggies, is a great nutritional supply that may assist the body in being naturally healthier.

- Taking products of animal origin off the diet can prove useful in giving your body a break from heavy digestion.

- It helps cleanse the whole body of all the harmful toxins as well as refining your blood as well as filtering the organs that handle the body detoxification.

One can find various other benefits of a purification diet, but simply understanding that your internal system demands some cleansing and detoxing from time to time will probably make you engaged enough to follow a raw food purification diet.

Purchase Fat Burning Diet

I would like to discuss my view on the raw food diet. I understand the concept that heating food may destroy valuable enzymes and the body will need to take from the finite pool of enzymes to help in digesting the food. I can also say that when eating a raw diet for any length of time, I feel wonderful!

So then, what is all the talk about requiring animal products in the diet? Some well respected former raw foodists and some other health speakers are saying that a raw vegan diet may not be ideal for the long term. The opinions differ somewhat although some of them think that meat in the diet is vital for DHA, an essential fatty acid, allegedly not available in a raw vegan diet. As far as I understand, DHA is what feeds our brain and I believe it also contributes to ocular health.

From my research on this “concern” I found that essential fats are ample in some seeds, nuts and plant foods, but not the essential DHA. But, with further study on the topic I learned that there is a product available that contains DHA from algae, and algae qualifies as vegan.

I also found that, given sufficient EFA’s in our diet from vegetable sources (avocados, flax and walnuts for example.), our body is able to produce usable DHA from them. Mind you, it could be more “effort” than you like to put on your body, and it may require some extra nutrients that could be beneficial in different parts of the body. However, with the mass amounts of more absorbable nutrients you get from raw foods, that may not be a concern. However, as mentioned previously, a vegan product with DHA is now readily available.

I have no intention to discuss the misnomer that protein is not available from plant food because I assume at this point that idea has been proven wrong, but an additional oft-discussed problem regarding the raw foods diet is the availability of the very important vitamin B12, that is thought to just be found in meat. A lot of raw food eaters will say the same thing and then go on to promote a vegan supplement with B12 in which “they use themselves”. But, a quick read of the Chlorella Factor at chlorellafactor.com will probably alter your perception about that. Once more, algaes contributing to health.

Finally I would like to give you my thoughts on the raw diet for longevity. To keep it real I do not really know. However, I feel that there is no doubt that a completely natural raw vegan diet is a very good tool to detox as well as heal from ill health and perhaps disease.

Being that I am not certain about being on a raw food diet indefinitely, I stick to a mostly raw, high plant derived diet unless I am detoxing. I drink a lot of juices and green smoothies but I also add some cooked eggs, bee by-products such as bee pollen and occasionally some small fish.

hi :) i’m a seventeen year old female and i’ve been flirting with the idea of ‘going raw’ for quite some time now. i’d like to be a dietician, and i’m trying to be more personally health concious because i’m realizing the negative affect that the processed food i’m putting into my body is having. should i consult my doctor and let him know that i’m going raw?

also, are there any sites or books that contain a lot of information, as well as recipes?
anyone who’s gone raw- i’d appreciate some of your insight, stories and opinions on it.

thanks in advance! :)

I am a 21 year old female. I’ve always been really healthy and active, up until a few years ago. In these last few years, I have had 4 really close friends pass away, a boss, a long time family friend, and my grandfather. With all of the stress, I’ve just stopped caring about myself and my appearance and just based my life on "there may not be a tomorrow". As a result, I am now overweight and not as health as I should be. I am 5’3” and my weight fluctuates between 178-183. I am really trying to get into a healthy living lifestyle (diet, exercise etc.) again. My question is this: When I start working out, is it better to start off slowly and take things easy, or to jump into an intense routine full force?…. and as well go for a new diet. Also is it better to try an actual diet or just change my eating habits and perhaps focus on eating certain foods?

After reading detailed reviews about people taking colon cleansers and seeing various sci-fi like things come out of themselves, I’m wondering if detox is really useful or not. I once took a 7 day Cleanse program from GNC, and I felt better after using it, but I don’t know if that had more to do with my healthy diet and exercise. I saw all these pictures of intestinal goop and while most research says that the liver can do just fine detoxing the body, what about the goop? All of that stuff can’t be good in the colon, but does it present dangers to ones health to take all that fiber and who knows what else? Technically, what would that in depth, complicated colon cleanse offer that say, a dose of Metamucil couldn’t? All those reviews said they got flatter stomachs, better sleep habits, etc etc etc… What is happening here? I find myself oddly interested in a program, but I don’t want to just be in the bathroom all the time, especially at work.

Thanks!

Yes, I did already ask this but no one really answered my question…please don’t tell me I shouldn’t switch my cat’s diet as it is neccessary for my one cat’s health as 1 is sick because of the commercial food.

I have been thinking about switching my cats to a raw diet for quite some time. Since I’m going to be getting a dog soon, I’ve decided there is no better time than now to really work towards switching them to a new diet. I do have a couple of questions though…first of all, if I am understanding the information I have read so far correctly cats have much more extensive nutritional needs than dogs…this slightly freaks me out as I’m afraid I won’t supplement their raw diet correctly. So look online I found this pre-mix for raw foods it’s called alnutrin, does anyone know anything about this? Do you think it is quality? You have to add raw meet and water that’s it. It’s fairly cheap w/o shipping and says it makes 32 pounds of food.
Also, I can’t find anything like this for dogs…is it because it isn’t necessarily needed? Can anyone recommend a pre-mix of quality for raw diets for dogs?
Does anyone have any recipes for making a homemade dry kibble, as I would still like to free feed my cats throughout the day, or any other recommendations for switching my cats (and soon to be dog) to a raw diet?

Here is the link to the stuff I am looking at http://www.knowwhatyoufeed.com/alnutrin_with_calcium.html

I can understand that it’s an advantage to be able to live off one foodstuff exclusively, if it’s the only one that is abundantly present in your environment (like, as I understand, the panda bear’s diet consists of bamboo only).

I can also understand why it’s convenient for a carnivore to also be able to live off vegetation if the number of prey is temporarily limited.

But what is the advantage of requiring a lot of different foodstuffs to thrive, like humans do? If only one vitamin or mineral is missing, it’s detrimental to our health. Why have we evolved in a way that has made our health dependent on the weakest link in our food supply?

Over the past years my family would take my Father out to eat for dinner and make breakfast for him. This was followed by gifts such as clothing and accessories. Two years ago, we hired a personal chef to cook dinner for him, which was excellent. I was wondering if any of you had any ideas to do for my father this year. PLEASE NOTE: that he is currently not in the best condition health-wise and his energy is very low right now. I would like any ideas that would not require as much energy, thank you all so much! :)

My green singing male Finch ONLY eats the small spherical dark-colored rape seeds and will not, ever, ever eat millet in the seed blend, or canary grass seed, or oat groats or…anything else!

Well, he does eat corn but rape seeds and corn are the only things he eats and I am frustrated since I care for his health and I am afraid he is not getting proper nutrition.

What can I do to get him to eat other foods without me investing hours into "training" him with a clicker or what not?

Thank you!!

i’ve decided that i really want to change the way i eat. my diet consists of no sit down meals…only snack foods and lots of cookies, brownies, etc. i’m not fat, because everyone tells me that i’m so "tiny and skinny and look like i need to gain weight," but the truth is, i don’t feel good about myself at all. i know i’m eating way too much, no matter how my outside appearance looks or how fast my metabolism is. and besides the fact that i want to lose weight, i also want to do this because i know it will obviously be a lot healthier. i’m starting to worry about what my health will be like down the road if i continue to live on a junk food-based diet. i know what i need to do…i just want to know how much weight i’ll lose, and how long it will take if i start immediately. thanks for all your help :)

I am a trucker. Somehow I ended up getting this driving gig. I have been doing it for two years. Since I’ve been doing this job I have ended up eating nothing but gas station and fast food twice a day practically every day. My once flat belly is turning into a gut. Not cool. I was a pretty health eater before but being on the road for days at a time and driving 12-15 hours a day, you just want something hot, fast. I am going to start packing a cooler full of real food and trying to kick the fast food addiction thats got it’s hold on me. I was a vegetarian before. But that hasn’t been practical lately. I also am kicking the meat out again. I feel like my body needs a good shaking out of toxins. I want to work my way down to raw food.. Since I sit all day sedentary driving I don’t need all that meat clogging me up. I don’t even have to load my own truck.I am looking for raw food tipsters to lay down some knowledge for me. Recipes, nutrition concerns, things like that.

trying to figure out what game this is. You were a boy with blonde hair and you fought pirates and on the front cover he’s screaming with his hair spiked up. There was ghost pirates and for health there was food on the ground. Everything was like ghosts. You could walk with a girl as well. On the front I think it like green goo and a blonde hair kid! Ha I am trying to figure it out played it when I was real young!
its a newer super nintendo game so it had decent graphics. There is green goo on the from with boy with yellow hair yelling. you fought ghost pirates, you went on ships , there were graveyards

My boyfriend is having money issues, but insists that he needs to drink an energy drink every day (Full Throttle). I’ve been trying to help him come up with something different to give him energy that wouldn’t cost much and that would be better for him health-wise, but we’re having trouble figuring something out. I told him he should try eating a healthy breakfast before school but he says he doesn’t have time. He can be rather stubborn, so this has turned into a difficult issue for us. Any suggestions or ideas for alternatives or for ways to convince him to try my suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

After reading about the raw food diet and looking into it more, I think I’m going to talk to my grandparents. So far, I know that you need meat, bones, and organs. I also know that they have to be given to in a certain amount of each. I also know that asking a vet wouldn’t matter, since they don’t study nutrition much in college.

I have two dogs. A 70lbs wolf mix, and a less than 5lbs chihuahua, and I plan on feeding them both the raw food diet. I already know that they eat raw food anyways, because I’ve seen them eating a rabbit, a rat, and a bird that my wolf mix killed. I feed them both Blue Buffalo right now, and I know that that is a good dog food, but I think a more natural diet would be better. I’ve read reviews, and seen that people have seen improvement in their dog’s energy and overall health. I just want to know every piece of information I possibly can, so I can present my grandparents with the facts.

Also, Blue Buffalo is about for a large bag. The bags last about, eh, a month and a half, give or take. How much would the raw diet cost us monthly? Basically, the dog food is, like, 0 a month.
I just read that online book, and now I am definitely getting my grandparents to get it. I cannot believe how in danger my dogs are. I didn’t even know they could live well into their 20′s! No doubt in my mind: I’m switching to raw food for our dogs.

I am 5’1 95 lbs and mother of 3. I dont get a solid 8 hours due to having a baby in the house. I have broken sleep and wake up cranky and even more tired. I usually skip 2 of 3 meals a day just from getting wrapped up in the kids and by naptime, Im out when they are. I dont eat a whole lot for dinner but tend to snack continuously until bedtime at about 11pm. I need a simple routine to keep my energy up and to improve my health. I know the one I have now is very unhealthy and taking its toll. I do stay home with my kids all day so I have the option to cook, Im just not very good at it. Please give me some ideas for routine, for making the most of the sleep I do get, and for keeping my energy levels way up to keep up with my active children. I am on a vitamin for bone density although I never remember to take it. I would appreciate any and all advice. I used to be a vegetarian so I am capable of staying healthy, I just seem to take better care of the kids than myself, like most parents.

I’m not a vegan or vegetarian, but I would like to cut down on unnecessary things like sugar and caffine type things. –> ( http://sportsandcooking.com/health/be-careful-with-energy-drinks ). I don’t plan on cutting them out completely, but would like to still have lots of energy. Of course I will be drinking more water and exersizing more! Thanks for all the answers.

Hi, I love my dog more than anything, and I want to him to live a long, happy, healthy life.
Of course, one of the most important things when it comes to health is an adequate, well-balanced diet.
So… I am thinking about alternating my pit bulls’ kibble diet with raw meat and vegetables, so I am doing research on the matter.

I was wondering how many (if any) of you feed your APBTs raw food diets and what your thoughts on the matter are.

Advice, tips, suggestions, links, recipes, preparation steps, and any other information you are willing to provide would be greatly obliged.

Thanks for your time.
