I’ve been thinking about incorporating more raw foods into my diet and am simply wondering where to begin. From what I understand I need a food dehydrator and a food processor- is there an inexpensive brand or type of each some of you more experienced raw foodsists would recommend? How about recipe books, and websites? I know I can Google for recipes but I’d like to know what your favorites are as well.
Thank you kindly ~

1. Why in most raw dessert recipes is carob usually used instead of chocolate? For instance Fudge made with carob instead- is carob considered more "raw" or processed differently so considered more healthy?
2. Is a dehydrator absolutly necessary or is there another way to dry out food?
3. Any recipe books with easy raw recipes that you would recommend? I am finding raw recipes a bit complicated!
Thanks!
Regarding #1, what I mean is it not okay to use cocoa powder instead of carob which is not chocolate?
I was wondering if anyone knew any good books on raw foodism? Not so much recipe books, more informational.
Thank you :)
