Hi, I have a new outdoor cold water pond, and five fish have died in two days. :-( I just went & purchased a ph kit and it reads high alkaline (blue). What do you recommend we do? I’m really worried I’m going to wake up tomorrow morning to more dead little ones. I have a filter and air pump, with two ‘live’ aquarium plants.I have read various things about adding some sort of product to the water, but it appears this may not be the solution.
Do I change the water in the whole tank or do I do part change? Should I put the remaining fish into a fish ‘hospital’ with salt water and wait until I can balance the ph? Should I buy some distilled water and mix it with half tap water? Your best answers from experience would be great. Thanks in advance.

Our above ground pool is hazy, it’s not green, it’s just hazy, we’ve taken water samples to the pool supply store, they’ve tested them, and said everything was spot on (and they mean everything, metals, dissolved solids, ph, alkaline, sanitizer, and bacteria/fungi/mold, what ever). You can’t see maybe more than a foot down in the water before it’s too hazy to see anything. It also isn’t a traditional chlorine based system, it uses a different chemical based system called Baquacil, not sure exactly what is uses, but I know it’s not chlorine or salt water. The water in it is about two years old, we keep it covered, run the filter every day, etc.
So, any guesses why it’s still hazy?
We clean the filter on a regular basis, and we haven’t been in it for well over two weeks (but we still run the filter everyday)….
I've found several detox diets, ranging from a week to three months, and from all fruits and vegtables, to only certain ones and salt water. I was wondering if anyone has been on a detox diet before, which kind it was, and how it made you feel. Feedback? Suggestions?
