Veggie Meals At Disney (FL)?
Ok, I’m going to Disney in 2010, and I’m the only one in my family a vegetarian, so I need to know where I can get a veggie meal and a beefy w.e. meal! My family think ‘veggies are GROSS’, and they would never go for salads on VACATION, either. Also, I might be getting a Disney Dining Plan (magic your way plus dining), so they would also need to be part of that. thanks =]

I would call the Walt Disney World main switchboard (407) 824-2222 and ask them to transfer you to the restaurant you would like to check out. When you get the restaurant operator, ask about their vegetarian meals.
When you’re at the park and just want to browse dining options – check out the following:
* Columbia Harbor House offers vegetarian sandwiches and does a super veggie chili.
* Pecos Bil’s offers Boca burgers.
* The Main Street Ice Cream Parlor is one of the many places on property that offers tofutti ice cream. You can also find Rice Dream ice cream there.
Hey,
Great of you to be veg :)
If i were you i would just bring my own packed lunch.
1. You know you’ll have a proper meal to eat
2. It’ll be healthy
3. It’ll be tasty :)
Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom has the best of both worlds…a wide variety of vegetarian selection plus they also provide beef, pork, salmon etc for them meat-lovin’ folks. …and yes, this restaurant accepts the Disney Dining Plan. Also, if you are doing the dining plan, you will need to call ahead of time to make reservations because the restaurants book up fast (407) WDW-DINE …let them know you are vegetarian, I heard the chefs are great at accommodating special requests that would not otherwise be on the menu. …Other good restaurants for everyone would be Tusker House and Mama Melrose (flatbread pizzas).
Restaurants I recommend avoiding for vegetarians…Ohana, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Le Cellier (mostly steaks…though I must admit it is my favorite restaurant in all of WDW).
Check out allears.net for the menus http://www.allears.net/menu/menus.htm …and also here is a page for special tips http://www.allears.net/din/veg_strat.htm
ae gud best of luck and enjoye
You are very lucky. Since WDW attracts visitors from all over the world, vegetarian options are available at most restaurants.
Every Disney restaurant will accommodate your needs. Most have vegetarian meals on their menus, even the quick-service ones. Go to Disney Dining on their website to see some sample menus.
If you make reservations for your sit down meals ( which is highly recommended) then just call up the restaurant and request a veg meal. They are more than happy to take dietary requests. My daughter normally doesn’t eat meat much. We didn’t have a problem when we were in disney.
allears.net has all disney menus-so you can read what is at each restaurant.
Even the walk up stands have veggie meals/snacks. WDW is very veg friendly. Go, have fun, don’t stress. Visit Tripadvisor.com, go to the Orlando forum for more info and great ideas. It is a free site. have fun.
