What are some cheap, healthy, good-tasting foods for a college student on a fitness diet?
I am currently finishing up my last semester of school in my hometown and anticipate moving out as early as the beginning of summer to continue somewhere else downstate. My parents can’t afford to support me much beyond some tuition help, but, living here has allowed me the luxury of eating healthier, if more expensive, foods. I run to stay in shape, and living at home saves me some money that I spend on supplements like protein powder – which, at for a ~1-2 month supply, can become a significant cost, besides the healthy food itself.
I worry that I may start to get out of shape, which is something that right now I take a lot of pride in being able to do – what are some good ways for me to be able to stay in shape when I move…provided that I will be on a much smaller budget for food, as well as being able to set time aside to exercise?

I like something I call smoothies that are reasonable in price, yet healthy and substantial. Try one of these a day.
A blender that you purchased at a thrift store, a pint of *** plain *** store brand yogurt and a bottle of store brand vanilla extract together with preferred fruits.
I prefer oranges, apples, bananas, grapefruit.
In the blender, add 1/2 of the pint of yogurt by spoon, add 1 or 2 oranges with seeds,(these pass easily) a few bananas, grapefruit (with seeds) maybe an apple, and a 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla. blend well. This is very filling and tasty. This can be varied according to your preferred fruits.
The reason I suggested plain yogurt is that other flavored yogurts are loaded with sugar and other junk. Yogurt is good for metabolism and try a cup of *** fat free *** milk a few times a day. Fat free milk is good for metabolism, too. If you get into the whole milk or 1 or 2 percent, this quality is lost. Take calcium supplements.
