I have fed my dogs this diet for 10 years.
They are extrememly healthy, they do not have to be wormed NO MORE than any other dog eating dog food and they have not had any health problems since i have been feeding this diet.
Feeding this diet i know what my dogs are eating. You want to switch gradually, not all at once, too much shock to the system.
Research the diet to make sure it is the right thing for you to feed the dog. It is not a difficult diet, but you as the owner do need to do the researc.
It is called the barf diet. (biologically appropriate raw food)
here is some links for you to get u started.

It is not that expensive to feed this diet.
I go to our local meat shop and get their cuttings off of what they butcher.
Raw food diets are not recommended by the vast majority of veterinarians because of the likelihood of exposure to parasites and/or microbes that are capable of causing severe disease. Cooking food kills these pathogens and prevents them from causing infection and or severe illness in both dogs and humans alike. The best diets for dogs are probably commercially available pet foods from reputable companies such as Hill’s, Eukanuba, Purina or Royal Canin. These companies all have excellent reputations in the veterinary community and all produce high quality, balanced diets that provide dogs with the best possible nutrition available.
don;t do it ,it will give your dog worms.
I heard that giving a dog raw meat starts the revearsal to wild dog also the dog after time wont eat anything else I’ve only heard coz I did’nt do it. thought by giving raw meat I would be treating it like a king, no I was’nt I was making sure it got put down over time
It is actually called B.A.R.F. (bones and raw food) and many, many people feed their dogs in this manner and have very healthy dogs. But you cannot just start doing it. You need to really do some serious research and talk with other BARF feeders.
It doesn’t cause worms. And a lot of vets actually think this is a good diet.. I do not feed it because I do not agree with it.. But many people do and to each their own I always say…
PS: it is very expensive to feed this kind of diet.
Its great. My dogs couldn’t be healthier. Read the book The Truth about Pet Foods for some good info. Dogs don’t get sick from it. They don’t get worms or bacteria. Dry food has a tendency to harbor more harmful bacteria. Veteranarians only have to take one nutrition class in school. Its mostly for livestock and farm animals and it is sponsored by hills or iams and other companies. Notice how each vet recommends a certain food, sell a certain food, and has posters made by certain companies? They get kickbacks for recommending certain brands over any other diet.
My vet said that I could feed them meat, but to boil it first to kill any harmful bacteria on the meet. The Blue Buffalo dog food is all natural human grade dog food. I am going to switch mine to that food.
