This has to be the most ridiculous question I’ve answered in a while. You eat raw foods, now was that really that hard?
Is salt raw? Typically no, as it’s an extract from water. Natural salt is raw, as if it’s natural, it’s naturally found in food.
Raw foodism (or rawism) is a lifestyle promoting the consumption of un-cooked, un-processed, and often organic foods as a large percentage of the diet. If 75-100% of a person’s total food consumption is raw food, he/she is considered a raw foodist or living foodist.
Raw foodists typically believe that the greater the percentage of raw food in the diet, the greater the health benefits. Raw foodism or a raw diet is usually equated with raw veganism in which only raw plant foods are eaten, but other raw foodists emphasize raw meat and other raw animal products.
Depending on the type of lifestyle and results desired, raw food diets may include a selectıon of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds (including sprouted whole grains such as gaba rice), eggs, fish (such as sashimi), meat (such as carpaccio), and non-pasteurized/non-homogenized dairy products (such as raw milk, raw cheese, and raw yogurt). Raw foodists can be divided between those that advocate raw vegetarianism or raw veganism, those that advocate a raw omnivorous diet, and those that advocate a diet of only raw animal foods (carnivorous).
Adherents of raw foodism believe that consumption of uncooked foods encourages weight loss (and stability, without the risk of re-gaining), while also preventing and/or healing many forms of sickness and chronic diseases. Some medical studies have indicated that different forms of raw food diets may lead to various health problems, while other studies have shown positive health outcomes with such diets
how about a sign with a long cucumber with a smiley face standing upright between two nice brown potatos saying EAT ME RAW!!!
For any type of thyroid imbalance I recommend removing all types of inorganic salt (table salt) or sea salt from the diet and adding significantly more green-leafed vegetables (and green herbs) to the diet. excess inorganic sodium is positively charged and is attracted to the negatively-charged thyroid gland and leads to dysfunctions. the calming effect of the alkaline minerals, raw enzymes, and the restoring effects of the B-vitamins found in green-leafed vegetables and herbs act to balance the thyroid and other endocrine glands.
if you have an overactive thyroid, no sea vegetables or salt of anykind.
if you have an underactive thyroid, try eating about 2 teaspoons of raw dulse seaweed flakes daily. also sunlight on the skin has been shown to stimulate the thyroid and to increase hormone production.
if you have any more questions regarding the raw vegan diet, I’m a raw lifestyle coach and I’d love to help!
